1. Manti Te'o ILB Notre Dame (alternate Keenan Allen WR Cal)
2. Kenny Vaccaro S Texas (alternate Barret Jones OG Alabama)
2. Chance Warmack OG Alabama (alternate Matt Elam SS Florida)
3. Gerald Hodges OLB Penn State (alternate Micah Hyde CB Iowa)
I think this Eagles team was masquerading as a team one or two players away from a Super Bowl over the last two seasons and in reality it was in dire need of a rebuild.
This type of draft is geared toward a rebuild. I think it would be wise to add a DE out of the draft too, but there are too many other good positions with lots of talent and I am of the mindset that if you are in a rebuilding type of situation you should draft the best players available.

I've seen some mocks that have him as a first rounder, but I've seen other mocks that have him in the 2nd. You really never know for sure until after the season and the combine, but you can get away with Barrett Jones in that position and still fill a need for OL depth in the 2nd round.

2) Barrett Jones OL C
3) Kenny Stills, WR

2) (i) Ezekiel Ansah/Matt Elam - Either way I'd be happy. Ezekiel has the physical attributes to become dominant with a capital D. Elam has Dawkin-like qualities, he plays fast, tackles like an animal and can cover well.
(ii) I really hope we get a high enough pick, especially if we have no chance to make the playoffs. Trade down, get a 2ND rnd 2 pick, and go with either the unchosen prospect from (i), or Cordarrelle Patterson 6' 3" receiver from Tennessee.

I'm not sold on drafting OL with the first 2 picks of this draft for the Eagles. There are plenty of needs to keep from getting tunnel vision with the OL.

OL is huge need drafting Luke Joeckel,Barret Jones or even DJ Flucker with are first 2 picks will help us long term ..Safety position can be addressed via free agency with a Byrd or Landry and we can pick up a WR( Stills) or a solid linebacker ( Mike Mauti) 3rd and 4th rd
Depending on are next Coach (hopefully chip kelly) DJax wont be traded hopefully just used correctly

I disagree that OL is as big a need as everyone is saying. Its a need, but so is safety, so is CB, so is LB, so is WR. We get Peters and Kelce back and that should help the OL.
I think the Eagles are about to get a facelift in the offseason. There are a bunch of players that seem to not want to be here.
How do you use Desean properly? Just on punts? Tell him he's getting the ball on every play so he plays hard on every down? The best way to use Desean Jackson is to flip him for a pick.

I'd trade Jackson for a pick or any player that actually gives a crap at this point

Chip Kelly is a fraud. Gimmick offenses get exposed at the NFL level.

That Gimmick offense certainly seems to put up astounding numbers at the college level. I think he is an offensive genius to be honest. That said I think maybe the Eagles go for a defensive minded coach.

Pads his stats against weak teams. While he may put up big numbers how many National Championships has he won?
Once Kelly runs into a defense the offense folds.

Only facelift this Eagle team needs is with Coaching ..go with a solid 4-3 scheme Blitz crazy with no more wide nine close the gaps to protect against the run not leaving are safeties pinching on the RUN 95% of the time and are corners with no over the top help ... Same problems week after week ..
We can get LB and WR in 3rd or 4th round ..Corner and Safety will be addressed this offseason resign DRC Keep Asomugha if he wants too restructure that contract and find a coach that will play too are players strengths ...And for the love of god fire Marty before he ruins Foles
Desean is a playmaker without a ball!! Punt returns sure thats a start but he needs the ball in his hands ..Either Slip Screens, long ball, wrap arounds ..Just seems this season they have been taking anyway from his explosive play making skills ..Not worth trading yet still young
With the OL if we could get DJ Fluker from Alabama in the 2nd rd ( Fluker is a tank could be a steal of the draft ).. Id be more the happy too draft T'eo

The more I read (and see him play) the more I think you're right. Warmack won't last till the 2nd. He is a first rounder and maybe even a stretch to make it to #20. I stand corrected.
