Bray... the CB class sucks this yr and isn't going to be one worth a top 10 pick. OL is deep as hell this yr we can get a top OL with a later pick. And really we don't need a LB in the first yes Manti Teo would be nice but isn't a need i'd be fine with Greene from Rutgers in the 2nd round he is a beast

>>Disgusted: Great big brush strokes by Sheridan. And, we really don't know what mandates  (if any) were imposed by ownership...on Andy Reid. I always thought Reid had a great record of enabling his assistants to better positions throughout the NFL. That stopped pretty quickly with Mornhinweg as OC...others seeing what Reid continues to deny.

jwood.....I agree with everything you said.  And top that off with a top 3 draft pick and we could rebuild very quickly.  Don't underestimate a top draft pick when a new coaching staff comes in.  We probably wouldn't have had the success we had in the early 2000's had we not drafted #2 and gotten McNabb when Reid came in.  So yes, having a top draft pick for the new coaching regime is very, very important.  We could draft a top QB, get the best OL available and solidify the OL, get the best LB and solidify the LB core with the best player available, etc.  All this will go a long way to rebuilding.

>>BG93: Fokou is playing just fine as COLT linebacker this season. Since Jim Johnson was the DC, its been difficult to gauge the player v. system on defense. Lets not get in a lather about the draft until we know about coaching. DONAHOE HAS THE SCOUTS. Right now, Howie runs that whole show. ( Demetress Bell)

With the new rookie wage scale, trading back is also an excellent option too if you have the 2nd or 3rd pick.  Now that teams can afford to draft top players, they are more inclined to move up.  St. Louis and Cleveland did quite well the last 2 years trading back.  The higher the pick, the bigger the asset we have.

>>Bray: I think Lurie has given Reid all the ammo he needed to win the war ( get to Superbowl). Roseman made deals to get the "right Vet" onto the roster. But Howie also cut every corner on depth, too. Reid has screwball ( very unconventional) offensive & defensive theories. Reid has also lost the locker room. I think there IS talent on this years roster...just not enough depth to "bench" the underperforming starters ( Watkins, Celek, Bell) without a huge drop off.

>>BG93: Fokou has a professional career with another club. IE he wasn't "garbage"...just didn't jell with Philly D.

Bray...i'm all for a high pick to trade back i'd love to see Philly be able to land 2 first rounders this yr get a S(Eric Reid,Kenny Vacarro) and whatever else we need.

This isn't a great QB class sadly we missed out there is no standout #1 QB like Cam Newton or Andrew Luck/Rg3.

I have a salary cap question and I'm wondering if anyone knows the answer to it.  We have a lot of salary cap room this year.  If we were to cut Vick or Nnamdi before the end of this season, would their "dead money" count toward this year's cap or next year's cap?  If it counted against this year's cap, why not cut one or both now?  I'm not sure how that works.

Colin Kaepernick was a record setting collegiate QB here in Nevada at UNR.

Kaepernick is the only quarterback in the history of Division I FBS college football to have passed for over 10,000 yards and rushed for over 4,000 yards in a collegiate career.

Kaepernick is also the only Division 1 FBS QB to have passed for over 2,000 yards and rushed for over 1,000 yards in a single season three times in a career (consecutively).

Jwood... didn't say Fokou wsa garbage just that he is having the same success with Indy as he had here in Philly. Now a player that failed here with us and is having some pretty good success is that Daniel Te'o-Nesheim now with the Bucs he is one of there key rotation guys

>>Bray: C'mon. Birds just canned their VP of Communications. This is the GOLD STANDARD. Even if its makes "sense" to dump Vick and Aso--they still have to be paid. And, no Hollywood Producer dumps his big stars until he has another blockbuster on line. Canning Vick and Aso  RIGHT NOW simply undercuts every one in the FO and Sr. Management, too. Post season will be here..and they'll be cut loose or renegotiated way down.

>>BG93. Sorry. I know you didn't say Fokou was garbage...didn't mean to imply you had said anything about him. Just noting that there is a disconnect on defense between what the scouts and personnel people draft--and who succeeds in the Eagles system. For all I know, Matthews might thrive in another system, too.

Bray, I see and understand your points. I respect your opinion as a fellow fan. Without knowing our future yet, draft talk is pointless. I, personally, would rather see this team play with some heart and pull off a few wins rather than just let it all go for a high pick (which could end up being meaningless in the grand scheme of things).

PPW... i have to agree with u i would like to see Foles string together some Wins b4 the end of the season would give me more faith in him going into next season as the full time starter. If we lose out with him i think we really would have to look into another QB for next yr.

Right, like I said, our future is totally up in the air. My opinion, even with a few wins, l don't see AR coming back.

Plus, I'm cranky as I'm STILL in the hospital.

judging Foles is difficult with a team of underachievers .......losses are acceptable as long as he shows improvement.......Greg Roman has my vote

Welp, Laurie said himself another 8-8 season would keep AR his job, and I would believe he wasn't joking. However 9-7 could possibly keep him his job, in my own opinion.

8-8 wouldn't keep AR his job....

I took it more as another underacheiving season wouldn't be tolerated. It wasn't necessarily the W/L record. 9-7 or even 10-6 w/o a playoff run wouldn't be tolerated. That's how I interpreted it anyway.
