Dave , This season has been a mess.....but I swear , our season went downhill after we blew the Detroit game.....there we were looking at a 4-2 record , before the bye week.....the stadium was rocking after the Maclin 70yd TD.......up 10 points at home with a lil more than 5 minutes to go.....we all know what happened in the next 5 minutes and of course.... the weakest 3 and out of the season in OT.......I just thought we never recovered after that..........everything changed........your thoughts ??..........times yours.....

The players on D never thought much of Juan's scheme, or lack of, same with mcdormat as well, and Bowles inserted without a OS and PS to impliment his system was too late.

3 problems with this team the last two years:
Too many egos
OL
No real DC

Dude, please. This team was never going to do anything this year. They haven't been real contenders now for years, & people who thought otherwise were either too blind or chose not to see that.

There is not one point in this season you can say they went downhill because they started out at the bottom of that hill, despite all the NovaCare hype. And it's taken the last 7 years to get there.

when they were 3-1.....they were turning the ball over and still winning....a win is a WIN.....so ya cant say they were never going anywhere...they beat the Giants and Ravens and were playing tough football......so going back to last years last 4 games and preseason and 3-1 to start the year to start this year....they were 11-1 in their last 12......not to mention they played the Steelers tough in Pitt !!..........they werent looking exactly like SB contenders,.... but they werent playing this brand of Football their playing now......my point is ...they just seemed to fall apart particuraly after the Lions loss.....they were never the same team....

I don't see an ego problem with this team.  If so, it is way down on the list imo.

The Eagles have been outscored 147 - 59 since halftime of the Lions game.  Sickening

Thanks for that stat CT....I'm sayin the Detroit loss was fairly traumatic for the team if you ask me....they had to be feeing good about themselves after the Maclin TD....then to just lose that game the way they did.....and go into the bye week with that kind of loss....

This team has been on the downslide the past 2 years.  We should've lost to the Browns and barely beat the Giants and Ravens.  The Ravens and Giants didn't exactly play very good against us.

I absolutely can say that, because anyone who was really paying attention to this team over even the last several seasons recognized that their 3-1 start was a complete mirage, the beneficiary of some horrible bad luck (Browns LB dropping that GW INT), stupid mistakes by the opponent (Giants getting greedy & making their missed FG longer than it should have been), & the replacement refs (PI call in the Ravens game). By all rights this team should be winless.

Forget about the stupid turnovers. This is a BAD football team, plain & simple. The Lions game was just reality finally catching up to them, nothing more, nothing less.

This team is a couple field goals away from being 0-11

Things went wrong about and the downfall began about 6-7 years ago!

Face it, KO.       Even though a lot of fans have awoken from their 'just-good-enough-is-still-good-enough' comas, there are certainly a lot of true believers that will have to be dragged kicking and screaming to reality.

Hell, I still hear and see people chalking this season up to injuries and bad luck, and actually suggesting idiocy like keeping Reid and hoping he can ...... wait for it ..... change.

If Lurie had an ounce of balls, he'd pull the plug on this travesty today, and get on with the business of making this franchise competitive again.         As we've said over and over and over - enough is f****ng enough, already..

Yeah, there is definitely still some true believer worship out there. No point in arguing with them; they can just get caught up in the wreckage of the HindenReid.

If you don't see it then you are blind and deaf, it all started last year with contracts, dream team, i'm a star, then this year, with the tweets, dynasty, we have talent etc....

We need swagger, not egos

deaf not to see it ???
my point is that I don't think that the egos on this team have played a major part in this years disaster

The downfall THIS YEAR was certainly the Lions game. The team lost the game and then lost all of its nastiness on defense. Hey, the Steelers game was heartbreaking. Somewhere, the team just lost its heart, its urgency. Bad mix of players in the locker room. Coaching that players didn't respond to. A lack of veteran leadership. You see how quickly things go south in a season. It's a shame. I think there's a foundation here, but it never materialized

Urgency ? They didn't even show any urgency in the friggin 2minute drill during the Superbowl !
