Tyler had three double-digit fumble seasons in his career, with a high of 13 for the 1984 49ers. He also fumbled 9 times in 1979 while with the Rams.
Interestingly, those Rams and 49ers teams were Super Bowl teams, so they were able to overcome the loose-ball tendencies of Tyler. The Eagles, obviously, aren't good enough to compensate for a back who puts the ball on the ground that often.

Concerning Bryce Brown, it's a shame AR is so F'ing stupid, Brown's biggest contribution would be receiving the ball out of the backfield if Dumbo had enough sense to use him in that fashion, dude has excellent hands and would be unstoppable in the openfield with his power, vision and speed.
He should be used the way the Cowboys used Preston Pearson, that way both he an McCoy could be on the field at the same time.
