By losing to Carolina, the Eagles actually improved their draft status.....

If the season ended today, As of right now the Eagles are tied with the Raiders with only KC, Jax, and Cleveland ahead of them.....

So right now ... no worse than the 5th pick in the draft.  We can actually gain a few more spots by losing out.

I want 3-13.   Reid is already as good as history,  but the more disastrous it is not only do we get the higher draft pick,  but Lurie might can Roseman too.   Foles is not the answer either.

Its time to start over completely.

you do realize thar even top 5 draft picks are a 50/50  shot at best in terms of being permanent starters let alone game changers  if this is the best that playing like the crap weve seen will give us to hope for the off season will be as bad as the regular season!

are you purposely trying to take away the only silver lining we can find in the clouds? I mean yes of course we can still screw up the draft, just look at Brandon Graham and JPP....  we do it all the time. But at least we have a choice..... when you draft 22 you dont get the chance to draft top talent

Give me Teo or any good OL or Xavier Rhodes.

We can get Woods and steal Wilson for QB.

Once you're out, this becomes a real dilemma.  For the Skins last year, quite a few fans wanted them to tank the season for RGIII/Luck (myself included) once reality set in that our QB situation was getting us nowhere. Whether you want your team to tank or not, no organization would do such a thing unless you're dealing with a GM or Head coach with rock solid job stability (or an owner's approval lol) that would actually risk tanking for a pick...

And say what you want about RG3/Luck I DO think they are proving to be the type of players that make tanking seem attractive in certain circumstances.  If the Skins got one more win down the stretch they either lost their chance for RG3 entirely, give up 4/5 first rounders instead (lol), or reach for Kirk Cousins in the 2nd round and pretend like he's "the guy" for 3 years until he gets cut.

So, I say you should tank all the way and hopefully get an organization changer/leader if you can, and I guess the Skins can get a free win out of it too.  Your roster is clearly better than your record, this season just became a mess due to the often discussed reasons, so I don't think it's evil to root for a better draft pick the way this season's gone so far.

Cleveland Oakland and Kansas City play eachother alot in the coming weeks.  Carolina and Jacksonville have a pretty easy schedule left that even they could win a few more games.  Shouldn't be hard to move up.  Somebody has to win and lose those games.  Not hard to picture us losing out to boot.

I'd be surprised if we won another game.  3-13 should get us the 1st or 2nd pick after KC.
We have so many need I'd be thrilled to see us trade down once or twice for a bunch of extra picks,
then follow the Giants/Steelers drafting philosophy of taking big, tall, thick guys who love to play the game.
This with the right new staff and we'd be competitive sooner rather than later.

Let's have Howie the lawyer F up another 1st rd pick.  There's probably a 28 year old lumberjack in Saskatchewan atop his list.

Kid's got a great motor and is the most ready to play lumberjack out there.

I agree about Teo, this team needs a leader on defense more than anything and that dude will finally kick some people in the a**.  Plus he is a 3 down linebacker who is great in coverage as well, a can't miss talent.  I hate Notre Dame but I can't ignore how good that guy is.

But I really want this team to get a franchise QB, I think Barkley and Geno Smith have a chance to be that, but we need to see how they are evaluated through the draft process.

The difference is that there is no QB of Luck/RGIII calibur in the draft coming up. Barkley may be close but he certainly isn't on their level.. I think a top 3-5 pick would be fine this year.

As I mentioned in another thread, I didn't think the team would be interested in Barkley (best of a very bad QB draft this year), but now that he's injured his throwing shoulder, I'm sure he's skyrocketed up the Eagles' draft board.

You taters make me laugh. You think two guys who haven't played a single snap in the NFL yet have a chance to be franchise QB's. While the kid who has shown he can play at this level ( under some of the most horendous conditions) any QB has been asked to play  under  can't/won't  develop into one.  Yeah, that makes perfect sence ...not!

I seriously doubt there is a franchise QB in this draft and that's not just sme Tater talking.  Davis and McShay have both stated this at different times when talking about the QB talent coming out in this draft.  I'd be suprised if there's anyone considerably better than Foles.  McShay said that he thought the highest Barkley should go would be #16.  Take it for what it's worth.

since 2,000, look at the Lions drafts (Wr's), Browns (Couch, Green, Warren, Edwards, Winslow & Brown), or the Jags (Matt Jones, etc.. ), or the Bucs (Gaines Adams, Micheal Clayton, talib, etc.... ), Jets (Gholston) now think of the Eagles winning % and playoff appearances and wins vs. those teams since "we do it all the time"

This is like the Sixers when they got the #2 pick a few years ago and the talent was terrible.  I just don't see the elite talent this year.
