Maclin has an injury and there's thread after thread calling him the softest player in the league.  Desean goes out and nothing.  Also thought it was funny, given that people defend his blocking efforts by saying he's tiny, that Damaris Johnson killed on a block that sprung Bryce brown's TD.  Just more TATE hypocrisy

Can you really blame the vets for not putting their health on the line for THIS team?

The Eagles are going to shut down anyone they value who has an injury. Peters, Jackson, etc.
Lost season means lower the risk.

So a 160 pound player is "soft" because he fractured his ribs due to a 350 pound defensive lineman freefalling on top of him?

Doesn't mean people don't think it. In the gameday thread after it happened people were jumping all over him. "Sprained vaj" and "headed to the locker room for a new tampon" were popular sentiments

Is anyone surprised in DeSean's behavior? I'm not. Remember coming out of college he was known to have attitude issues...is there any wonder he's the way he is now with the total lack of true leadership in this franchise?

Frankly, given the situation he was drafted into, I'm impressed he's even a functioning starter, let alone one who is having a decent year.

Let's see how he does with the regime change. Blocking is 100% practice and heart, which can both be taught with the proper leadership.

Desean has taken huge shots over the years, he isn't "soft". Maclin flat out "gator arms" some throws. Everybody says that he's scared to go over the middle when a lot of big plays over his career have been over the middle, even after the Robinson hit a couple years ago, nothing is different. His "effort" might be in question now but not his "fear" the kid balls when he wants. I laugh when people say he's soft, he's 175 and still does things other receivers wouldn't dare.

They are both on the small side! desean is soft, scared to leave the sideline... Except in one game I was proud of him...

Time for some size and tenacity at the position.... speed kills, so keep one for 4 wide spread formations...  I will take a hines ward over jackson everyday!

I wouldn't say "soft" because that would imply he doesn't go for plays knowing he will get hit. I'd say he's more on the lines of weak. If he were to put on some weight and get to like 200 or something, it may help him. I'm surprised he's never been asked to put on weight because of how small he is

this post shows what an idiot you are

how do you expect desean to put on 35 pounds and still be close to the player he is

u cant just add 35 pounds to a small from at the age of 25

this isnt madden where you just click the right button to add some weight

my goodness

Don't be an idiot. He'd still be the same fast player. And no one is saying to just easily put on weight over the next week. Think.

DeSean is one tough lil ****.And if he had a decent QB throwing him the ball,he would be having a monster season.I saw a lot of heart and effort(for the most part) in his play this year.

The more I come in TATE,the more I realize how retarded people are.

I agree and moreover, I could be wrong but I don't think Vick, McCoy nor Jackson has injuries......personally I'd get Bryce Brown out of there also, dude is too valuable to risk on this lost season.

he's not soft, his play has proven otherwise over the years.  He is however a prima donna little brat who "i play when i chose to play".  He's like a midget randy moss.  Fast, only shorter, can't jump as high, can't run clean routes and has little heart in the game.
He got drafted, over performed for rookie contract and cried like a nancy boy because he thought he was worth more than what he signed his name to in the rookie contract.  When he wasn't getting paid he whined and cried and threw a tantrum like a little child.  Well, he got paid and still comes nowhere close to being the type of player he was in his first 2-3 years

And by 350lb lineman you mean a linebacker listed at 235

A page of posts and nobody gets the point.

Djax doesn't get hurt EVERY SINGLE GAME like Maclin does...although when he finally does take a whopping hit, he's proven to be even more fragile than Mac. The annoying thing with Maclin is how frequently we see him laying on the field moaning and then he's back on the field a few plays later.

What an idiot. Jackson weighs 175 per NFL.com. If he put on 25lbs of muscle, his explosive plays would NOT decline. Quit trolling

You can't be serious.  No chance in hell.  When you have an ectomorph frame and metabolism through the roof, you are not gaining 35 pounds.  Not without ridiculous amounts of steroids and a bodybuilding workout program.

And then of course how would blowing up/inflating his muscles and gaining a bunch of fat help him on the football field?  It sure as hell IS going to slow him down, common sense in the fitness world.
