@GeoffMosherCSN: Source tells me Evan Mathis will take snaps at center today and Danny Watkins will play left guard.

We went from stallworts at the T spots and Herremans playing great at LG, all pro Shawn Andrews at RG, and Jamaal Jackson was playing fantastic at C.
Amazing how fast your team can be decimated.

I've always wondered why Watkins didn't first compete for the LG job. A lot of his transition pain was related to a college LT using the opposite footwork in moving to the right side to play guard. Why not just bump him in a spot and let him play on the left side?
Anyway, as I said it can't hurt. The tackles will still get run around and beat regularly. Here's to hoping that Watkins/Mathis/Scott will at least protect the A gaps.

So a guy that plays guard now has to learn to hold a football pre-snap and either hand it to a qb between his legs or launch it between his legs to a qb standing far behind him and all of this is going to work out well after a week of practice? Ok.
So, Watkins has earned little respect playing right guard but a shift to left guard is a good idea? Ok.

Howie Roseman says hi. The Eagles drafts did not become putrid until Roseman arrived. Before that the Eagles drafts were solid, not great, but solid. Since Roseman the drafts have been... well... you know

Ugh. Whatever.
At least maybe Mathis can snap a shotgun snap faster than a slow pitch softball change up. The shotgun snaps looked like they might get intercepted like a Romo pass on Monday night.

Umm what? The drafts have been horrible even before Howie. They've actually gotten a little better under his watch. From 2004-2008 the Eagles only have TWO starters on their roster that have been anything more than average. Those are Djax and Celek.

Sit one blocking sled, insert another, shuffle a few more around. Whats the difference?
