Just curious but did we sign anyone to fill the empty roster spots from Jackon and Peters going to IR? It would be worth bringing in some young guys off the street just to see if they can compete. Maybe we get lucky and find a solid contributor for the future.

Peters? He hasn't counted against the roster all year. We have open spots from Jackson and Babin. No signings to my knowledge but no one would be from off the street. Practice squad guys either ours or other teams are far more likely.

I think Greg Salas took Gilyards spot... but no moves to replace DeSean or Babin's roster spots yet as far as I could tell - probably 2 practice squad players will get moved up and they will sign 2 new ones.

Just a hunch but I think what the OP is saying is Peters was moved to IR recently. I remember checking an injury report a few weeks back and noted Peters was not on IR.

on injured reserve/designated for return and OT Jason Peters on injured reserve

Peters was on the Non-Football Injury list before. He never counted towards the 53 this year. I think the NFI list works similar to PUP in that he could eventually be activated, or be IR'd.

Yea your correct, probably just figured its not worth risking him long term because there was talk of him possibly coming back at some point this season.
