Just how it goes in this town.  No QBs worth taking.  Who is the pick?  Who would be considered the best defensive player around pick 3?  Jones, Teo?

We wont draft a defensive player first. I bet we get OT Luke Joeckel from Texas A&M.

Or that master mind Howie trades down accumulating more picks in the mid rounds to blow on more players that resemble Jarrett, Te'o-Neshiem, Marsh, ...

I'd be surprised if we traded down this year. Seeing as rookies can't get outrageous contracts anymore (and Howie is a cheap ****), I bet we take the best player asap on draft day.

Were you in a coma the entire 2010 offseason? When the hell has this FO ever shown to be cheap?

If we switch to a 3-4 defense first pick could be defense, to early to say until we know coach and free agency.

I'm thinking were drafting Luke Joeckel but I wouldn't be surprised to see us take Teo or Jones if they did fall to us.

I'd actually like this move. From there move Herremans back to guard where he's a potential probowl caliber player and have a group that goes Peters, Mathis, Kelce, Herremans and Joeckel. That would be great compared to the Dunlap, Watkins, Mathis, Scott and Kelley.

It's the typical fan's preception. Even if we sign 3-4 FAs an offseason and extend a few of our good young players they still see 30-40 free agent signing they wanted and hear every contract dispute from the players they like.

It's all prespective. Most fans have absolute no perspective on what's going on across the league which makes them form unrealistic expectations on what their team shoudl do. I'll mention it's not all about the Eagles. That's league wide for all fans for all teams.

Ummm... just because the QB class is weak doesn't mean it's a weak draft class.

Manti Te'o is in the talk for the Heisman. That's tough for a defensive player.

Jarvis Jones, Luke Joeckel, Demontre Moore, Star Lotulelei, Dee Milliner

These guys are legit...

Why worry about the draft until all the underclassmen declare? If it is such a weak crop my guess is that it will give more underclassmen an incentive to come out early.

Honestly l would rather them draft a defensive playmaker with that pick. There will be a few young good tackles available in free agency. I would like to start the Andre Smith to Philly bandwagon. He's a savage of a RT and would compliment Peters lovely. Smith is only 25 years old..

Bring back the big boys..

Weren't they drafting players like that before Howie got here? If Howie is making the picks, that would be the problem. It's just that he isn't making the picks, Andy is.

Trade down and acquire both of St. Louis first round picks.

Draft Milliner or Rhodes and Vacarro in the first round.

Tackle is probably the deepest position in the draft and FA, so that can be addressed in the 2nd round.

THE SECONDARY HAS TO BE FIXED

There are a few talented guys in this draft, just no "can't miss" prospects at QB (or as close as you can get to can't miss).

OT,OG there are some names
CB: a couple of prime candidates
S: one or two top tier guys

If we could get Joeckel at OT and Warmack at OG we would have a beast of an OL for a few years...Warmack may go in the first, but then everyone thought MJG was going to go in the first along with Winston Justice.

the majority on here thought most of the picks were good in this last draft, if they stick with the same blueprint as this last draft and FA period, i think they can bring in some good players to come in and compete.

With a team like this that needs to develop a lot more homegrown talent and in a weak draft, they can trade down and stockpile picks later on and for next year. You're gonna call Roseman cheap after some of the contracts the Eagles have shelled out over the last 18 months? Seriously?

It's the same kind of draft as every other year since there's been a draft.

Ya poke, ya prod, ya analyze, and in the end ya still don't know crap about how well these guys are gonna do in the NFL.

Every year there is around 250-300 drafted or UFAs that come into the league. About 5 of them actually make a meaningful impact that turns into wins.

So, I guess what I'm saying is every draft is about getting guys who you can develop, play special teams and help withthe salary cap so you can affort your more seasoned vets. This coming draft will be no different.

If you are going into any draft expecting to get immediate impact players you should also expect to fall short of that expecatations. Maybe it would be eaiser to just make your expectations somewhat realistic?

Hoping for that OT from A&M, Joeckel. It all starts in the trenches and that's where we've been worst this year.
