I want to clean house!....even Howie.

Why does Lurie think he is some special talent? He has no NFL experience and his drafts suck.  I'm so worried about the future of the Eagles if this clown remains the GM.

Boy wonder needs to just handle the contracts. The Eagles need to hire a football guy, that's seasoned in evaluating talent, and call him the Executive Vice President of Football Operations; give him final say in all personal decisions which will essentially make him the de facto general manager. This is how it was with Andy, except this time the HC won't also be the Executive Vice President.

As much as Howie has missed on some things you have to give him credit for this past years draft. Cox looks like a player as does Kendricks, Curry is going to be a good pass rusher for years to come, and Boykin is probably our slot corner for a long time, and Bryce Brown was a huge hit in the 7th round. Foles is still a bit of a question mark but he did a pretty good job in this years draft.

I miss Tom Heckert. With Holmgren gone, Heckert's future in Cleveland may be in jeopardy.

Why does everyone assume that Howie is the one calling the shots ? Yes, he's the GM, but the GM (even when Heckard was here) was never a GM in the traditional sense. The GM runs the team, has final say in personnel decisions, and is above the coach in the chain of command. With the Eagles the Executive Vice President of Football Operations fills that role, and now that role is Andy's role. When he's gone, that position needs to be filled.

Great point. The Eagles had a strong draft this year which is overshadowed by poor drafts in previous years and, of course, the debacle that this season became.

Look.  No one knows what the team has here until the new coaching regime comes in.

It's altogether possible that a coach comes in here and sets up an offense/defense that the players already here can succeed.  Of course there will be some bloodletting, but you can't possibly make an educated decision on a player based on a coach/system that has two feet already out the door.

I'm not calling for any player's head around here until the next coach signs up for some Brotherly Love.

Everything I just posted goes out the window if Gruden comes here.  He'll make sure all the talent is gone and gets backfilled with old lazy veterans who don't want to play anymore.

I could live with roseman.  Just not the coaching staff.  Roseman has made some  pretty good moves.  It is just not translating on the field because of coaching.  He doesn't out think the room like much of andys career.  The only question I had was the OLineman in the 5th over wr.  But seeing how our season played out that was probably smart.  Roseman is very agressive.  Now I hated the first round fireman last year ahead of gabe.  But from what I understand gabe(chicago) is just serviceable.

Stupid to think he was going to come from being a Lawyer to a GM seamlessly. That's not his fault, and whoever hired him, if they had any brains, would know that. Which is why he still has his job today. Thanks, come again.

  The guy was hired to be a brain that could help Reid evaluate players. Not make the decisions. No one has one shred of evidence on whether the busts we've had are Andy's or Howie's guys except that you all do know that Reid's head is hard as a hammer and at times, has about as much capacity for reason. Watkins who looks like the Andy Reid version of 'mini me' (perhaps not so mini) somehow was Howie's pick. I'm not saying it's impossible for Roseman to negatively affect our talent evaluations -and 2012 was pretty good, but there's zero evidence.

And, Lurie needs to bring him in now.  He can start player/coach evaluations and tell Howie what to do next.

This whole franchise is in FUBAR mode right now.

What qualifications does Howie have to watch game tape and evaluate a Player? Where/when/how did he obtain this experience?

You need to hire back Marc Ross and allow him to hire the new Coach and rebuild the Scouting Dept.

Roseman is also accountable for this mess and needs to be let go to rid all semblance of the Reid era.
