Is it possible we trade Vick instead of releasing him next year?  If we do, what is he worth?

No. We'll just release him. This is literally just another thread for the Anti-Vick TATERs to get in some cheap shots/disses.

Not another Gm in the league that would give up anything with his injury history and lack of production the past 2 years.

Considering his stellar play these past two years, despite it being everyone elses fault, I'd guess at least two first rounders and a third.

His contract makes him untradeable, unless he'd be willing to restructure ... no one, including us, is paying him $16M next season.

If they could work in serious reduction to his contract they might be able to package him with a 6th rnd pick in exchange for a 5th rounder.

Possible. This FA QB group is garbage. If we can secure a lower contract figure upon trade (like they did with Samuel) we might be able to get something for him.

Actually if AR goes to a place where they do not have a decent QB and are looking for a set up man (like Doug Peterson) than that Vick trade might make sense.

Same was said about Samuel. The only difference is the contract is a bit more and he plays a more important position that typically has a longer average career age.

I think it can happen. Vick would reduce his contract a bit, the new team would get the remaining 2-3 years of him and the Eagles would get something like a 4th or 5th rounder for him.

Im glad someone mentioned that the same was said about Samuel........another brilliant consensus evaluation courtesy of the Eagles and TATE which proved to be dead wrong.

Now I would kill for a CB that knows how to bait a QB into a pick.....because we currently dont have one - we gave him away for peanuts to a team who is now 11-1.......hmmmmmmm.

I guess Im considered a Vick fan.  I still dont think he is a good look for the Eagles next season until I hear the words.....Andy Reid is the FORMER head Coach of the Eagles.

Mike Vick could probably start for 10 in the NFL. He's an average to slightly above average qb who gets paid like an elite qb. So no, he won't be traded but I'm sure someone will sign him in the offseason.

I agree I'd want more picks, but I'd disagree that Samuel is the guy. For the record Samuel has 2 picks this year, so he's not really doing that as much any more and somehow it appears his tackling has gotten worse. Watch any big run against the Falcons and Samuel is there, throwing his bad shoulder into the grown or planting his feet doing his best pylon impression.

Should also add the biggest discussion here last year was what Samuel was worth. Some actually said he could be worth a first or a second. For me I maxed out his value at a 4th and it appears we couldn't even get that.

Anyway, Vick's value, if any, will be low. What will make him potentially sought after is that this FA QB crop is horrible and the draft isn't that deep in the position. Because I overvalued Samuel the first time I'll put a 4th on Vick. My guess is a QB who's got a few good years in him still has some value. Heck, we traded McNabb for a 2nd when he was right around the exact same age.

McNabb had turned to crap by then.  All he had was an arm, but out of shape and no confidence or swag at all.  The Eagles emasculated him..............and will turn Vick to mush unless he leaves when the going gets good.  Vick wont command a 4th, most teams are cheering at his struggles this year and know the Eagles have to either cut him or pay him, why give up draft picks for a guy who is as good as gone and has taken way too many hits?

My point about Samuel is, he really wasnt that expendable was he, but our FO cant handle a guy who tells the truth about them.  ATL knew we had worked ourselves into a bind with Samuel.......and low balled us accordingly.  This will be a trend, trust me.

It might be on par with trading Asante Samuel...a 7th round pick.  And that's after they shopped Asante for 2 seasons and couldn't get rid of him.

Teams will know they want to cut Vick and not pay his contract.  They'll also know not many teams would want him.  So the couple teams that might want him will wait til he's available as a free agent.

There are some teams that need a QB. I'm hoping they get some clueless team again to make a trade for Vick.

They would not be able to trade him since they have to release him with in 3 days after the SB to save them from paying a boat load of cash. And trades dont open up untill march. So if they cut him which they will to save all that $ he is free to go and sign with anyone when free agency starts in march. Is there a chance he signs back with Philly highly unlikely but if he did it would be for a whole lot less. I am sure Vicks day's in eagle green are over ..but he would look very good in jacksonville/Buffalo/KC/Arizona/

Well we still have alot to learn about that 3rd round bum. Right now I am leaning toward the bum cuss atleast we know he has a ton of room to improve we already know Vick hit his max potential and that is clearly not very good.

the bonus can easily be moved
Its not the small 3 million in bonus they care about..its what his contract holds as a whole. And they will not lose that chance to get rid of it. Noway in gods green earth they don't release him.
