http://www.coldhardf...g-frenzy/13955/

Some highlights:

Twenty-one of 46 NFL champs did not have a Top-10 receiver

and

Only 2 HOF WR's have won Super Bowls WITHOUT Hall of Fame QB's

Jackson and Maclin are the best WR tandem we've had since 1996 ( i dare you to even name those guys without looking it up)

All's i hear is how soft both of them are...blah blah blah...didn't the Rams have the greatest show on turf with soft WR's???  I remember games against them where Holt or Bruce would catch a 15 yarder over the middle and dive to the ground to avoid contact.

Our O was pretty good in 2010 and 2011 (minus the turnovers) but the majority of the TO's wern't the WR's fault

With an improved playcalling,  OL and QB play i guarantee you that people will STFU about Maclin and Jackson.  Establishing the Run will also help because it will force the safetys to come up to the line of scrimmage and not take away the deep ball

Maclin deserves to be hated on, DeSean's carrying hate from what happened last year.

TO - 77 - 1200 - 14TDs
Pinkston 36 - 676 - 1 TD

Kinda a 1 sided tandem there

Definitely. The Oline never let Vick or Foles time enough for a deep play to happen for Jackson. I'm not sure if he still has no drops but I know he had no drops this season for most of the season.

Because they are tiny and overmatched at times?

Because they sometimes vanish during a game?

Because Maclin is hurt often?

Because Jackson was a DEEEEK last season, not playing hard because he didn't have his money??

These are just my thoughts.  Would love for the e-girls to have a big nasty tough WR.

True, but I think this tandem is better than the current one, this year anyway.  Obviously there are lots of other issues that contribute to that.

Pinkston takes a lot of unfair heat (as is the case with most players subjected to this fan base and local radio personalities).  He actually complemented Owens very well.  When you've got a do it all, physical, elite receiver on one side of the field and a pure burner, field stretcher on the other side that is beast.  I loved the way the offense was constructed that year.  Imagine if McNabb, Westbrook, Owens, and Pinkston could have stayed together for like 5 years.

Because neither produce consistently. But I wouldn't blame that on either of them entirely.

But Greg Lewis caught a TD in the SuperBowl making him the greatest reciever in Eagles history.

We've got smaller, fast WRs. With our OL being as bad as they have been they have had to call shorter routes negating much of that speed. Then the opposition has adapted to play the shorter routes, so it's just been a bad year.

Our WR's are not 6'8" or higher and can run a 4.1 40.

Because they are both small, soft, and can't get off the line of scrimmage Don't show any heart. Only LOOK like they care when the team is winning and they have their money.

Through 11 games DeSean had 45 receptions, 700 yards, and two TD's.  Certainly not Jerry Rice worthy, but when you take into account the complete debacle that has been the offensive line and the shaky QB play those numbers aren't too damn bad.

I liked that he didn't dive to the turf every time he caught a pass.
