Fire either of the Harbaughs. I'll take either one.

I'm just reading this thread for the first time, and the OP couldn't be any more wrong. Kaepernick showed a lot of POISE and HEART yesterday in that NFC Championship game. He's proven himself as the rightful starter of that team. It's kinda hard to accept that the Eagles drafted the wanna be fire fighter Danny Watkins over this stud quarterback.

Yes, fire Jim's brother. That will show him! The 49ers owner is going to call the Ravens owner to arrange that tomorrow.
"We need you to fire John because Jim started Kaepernick over here. Can you do that for us? We want to send him a message. Thanks."

The best way to hurt a person is not to go after them, but go after the family.
That'll learn 'em!

We didn't need a QB at the time. I wouldn't call him a STUD either. He has put the ball on the ground 10 times in 10 starts (thankfully only 2 were lost). He has improved each game and I think he will have a good future but Smith was just as good this year and deserves just as much credit. People forget he took the Niners to the NFC title game last year. Only difference is he met the red hot NYG.
I actually do however feel bad for Smith. He is 19-5 as a starter since Harbaugh took over, he has put up good numbers too but has to suck for him to finally have success, find a coach who he clicked with and now he will have to start over elsewhere next season in another new system for another head coach.
Reminder of Smith/Kapernick's numbers
Alex Smith
6-2 as a starter
104.1 QB rating
70.2 comp %
1737 passing yards
13td/5int
4 fumbles/1 lost
sacked 24 times
Colin Kaepernick
5-2-1 as a starter
98.3 QB rating
62.4 comp %
1814 passing yards
10td/3int
4 rushing td
9 fumbles/2 lost
sacked 16 times

Alex Smith sucks. No one cared about the Niners offense with him at QB.

Pretty much..
Besides smith has been on san fran for years as the starter which hasn't amount to much. He had numerous chances, lost his starting job to troy smith once. Smith should be happy he was given a chance to start last year now he can at least get another starting job when he is release from the team or when his contract us up, forgot which one will happen.
He is going to again get another chance to start so there is no need to feel bad for him...
