Foles might not be lighting the world on fire, BUT...

The whole offense seems to be flowing very well, and the balanced attack is a welcomed surprise. Funny how this OL looks much better with Foles in there than that other QB we got.

Realistically, probably a #2 or journeyman, but if he keeps improving who knows? He has the size and arm, and it looks like he has the touch and accuracy. He needs to stop staring down receivers, but that's a common rookie problem.

Andy, it's not a bad thing to run the ball.

He really did well with a 3 step drop and on the edges....that will eliminate a lot of the blitzing
Moves much better than most 6' 6'' guys huge upside

whenever a scrambling quarterback isn't running this team, the offense is always balanced. It's just that AR and MM were trying to get McNabb and Vick killed out there.
Detmer, Feeley, Garcia, Kolb, heck, even Mike McMahon always had balance.

Couple of things:
First, I agree with the fact that Foles is progressing which is good to see. However, in no way shape or form was Vick regressing. This OL is craptastic and has seen 80% of the starters on the sidelines and not in the game for much of the season...and in these last 2 games, the coaching staff finally decided to adjust the offense to counteract that. Foles was getting hammered left and right against dallas the first game and against washington too and our offense still sucked royally and foles himself does have 3 INTS and 4 fumbles in 1.75 games while completing just 55.1% of his passes. Those things are going to happen when you're behind a line that's beaten so badly and continue to call plays that take time to develop.
The plan completely changed against the panthers on monday night as we called running plays 25 times to just 23 times having Foles drop back. This resulted in keeping the defense back allowing foles time to see the field and complete 76.2% of his 21 attempts. That's not to say foles was all that great since 4 of his 5 incompletions in the game should have been picked off.
That game plan continued this week as the eagles ran the ball 26 times to 34 QB dropbacks. Foles made a few real head scratcher decisions in this game and got lucky with a couple of throws...including his TD throw as that throw is incomplete or intercepted 9 times out of 10. He also had 2 or 3 other throws that should have been picked off and got lucky that the king was johnny on the spot to cover up his fumble
Brown is the story of the offensive performance the last 2 weeks, not foles and not the absence of vick. If vick got this ind of help from the game planning and RB, we probably would be neck and neck with the giants right now if not winning the division outright.
That being said, Foles is proving himself capable of running an NFL offense which means Vick is as good as gone barring an unforeseen change in events which is best for the long run of this franchise.
This season is more of a blip on the radar than a major road to an overhaul. There will be some big changes...just not many.
I for one see a bright future with an offense with a healthy/returning:
Foles(23)
McCoy(25)
Brown(21)
Jackson(26)
Maclin(25)
Johnson(23)
Celek(27)
Peters(30)
Herremans(30)
Kelce(25)
Hell, I even think Cooper has finally started to come into his own a bit and by getting rid of a Mudd system and going to a more tradition OL system I think Bell would be fine too.
I'd rather cut Jenkins' and Nnamdi's salaries and focus on rebuilding the defense which already has some good young pieces. Young veteran FAs and the draft can fix this team in a hurry...
WITH THE RIGHT STAFF IN PLACE:
Potential free agent targets I'd look at if not re-signed or tagged(dependent on scheme of new coaching staff of course):
Glenn Dorsey KC(27)
Henry Melton CHI(26)
Connor Barwin HST(26)
Ray Maulaga CIN(25)
Brent Grimes ATL(29...but an injury risk)
Jairus Byrd BUF(26)
Dashon Goldson SF(28)
Potential rookies in draft I'd take a look at with the top 5 pick we're on pace to have:
Jarvis Jones DE/OLB Georgia
Star Lotulelei DT Utah
Manti T'eo LB Notre Dame
Demarcus Milliner CB Alabama
Being 1 game behind KC and JAX for the number 1 overall pick a trade down is a possibility with teams desperate for a guy at the top. Wouldn't mind fleecing Arizona again or Buffalo if they feel the need to trade up for a QB

Foles looked good vs dallas firs time around, then really regressed in his starts. Last week he had MAYBE one throw which was good- the out to Maclin. This week he had 5 or 6 good/great throws.- and only one which “should” have been picked off.
I thought he played great. Apart from Vicks games vs the giants and ravens, that was probably the best qb performance this season from the team.
Now if only Bryce can learn to hold onto the ball, we can at least be a bit excited abnout the offense next year…. Shame we need an entire new secondary.
