Problem is, Marty is the one that should have got the boot, but Andy is a wise man and he knew that he'd get the spotlight since he'd essential act as the OC

The players on the defense did not respect Juan. I cant remember who it was but one defender said to Derek Gunn in a post game interview after the Detroit loss ( I think maybe it was another game but it was while Juan was still coach). The coaches need to let the players play and make the changes necessary on the field because we are the ones out there. Juan in every game this year came up with a good gameplan but would not make adjustments when necessary.
Andy would never have fired him if he felt it would be a bad thing for the locker room. The players wanted him out and Andy gave them their wish.
As you can see the players dont know what they are doing at all and even more so Bowles who has no clue...

With Bowles, it's almost as if the minute he became DC, the players started playing with almost 0% effort

Yet those same 3 players made up 3 quarters of what was arguably the best secondary in the league over the first 6 games under castillo. The players aren't horrible....bowles' scheme and play calling and their communication in those changes is what is horrible
Against Roethlisberger, E Manning, Flacco, Stafford, Weeden, and Kolb, the eagles were the best in completion percentage allowed and second best in passer rating allowed. In the same amount of games, Bowles has led this team to the worst completion percentage allowed(76.3%, better than 20% worse than the castillo defense through the first 6 games) and better than a 140 passer rating also worst in the league.
The Bowles led defense is worse in every way than Castillo's(which by the way was pretty damn good in most major categories).
Castillo 22 games compared to Bowles 6 games:
Third down
Castillo: 33.8%
Bowles: 52.9%
Red zone:
Castillo: 52.2%
Bowles: 57.9%
Turnovers/game(including by downs):
Castillo: 1.9
Bowles: 0.7
PPG:
Castillo: 19.3
Bowles: 26.7
Passing yards per game
Castillo: 200.5
Bowles: 240.8
Rushing Yds per game
Castillo: 105.8
Bowles: 130.7
Percentage of plays stopped within 3 yards or less(not including TDs allowed)
Castillo: 58.4%(42.8% of all plays went for 0 yards or a loss)
Bowles: 48.5%(28.2% of all plays went for 0 yards or a loss)
Games allowing more than 30 offensive points scored
Castillo: 3 out of 22
Bowles: 4 out of 6

Castillo may have had some players doubt him but they actually performed better with him as DC and it looked like he was getting a lot out of them.
