Shaggy missed JMAC at the end of the first half on a TD, but it was still a nice drive for 3 points.

I just hope Lurie get the right coach next season. We have alot of great young talent on this team and the future looks bright with players like Cox/Brown/Foles/Damaris/Kendricks/Curry/Graham etc.

One reason y i'm leaning toward a college coach because they know how to work with young talent and that is pretty much what the Eagles team is made of minus a few vets. I think i'm going to join on the David Shaw banwagon for now :)

These last games are against bloodthirsty teams that  fighting for playoff berths; with that being said keep Foles as the starter so we can see him face fast, complex, and aggressive defenses. It would be great test to grade him by to see what offensive pieces we need for him next year..

Cacophony.....what a great word that describes this team.....
Kudos to Philly.com writer Rich Hoffman.
another good line...."anybody associated with that team either looks angry or looks like they just witnessed a car wreck."
DDD, that line best describes Mr. Lurie's (see Frenchie), demeanor last night.

I just loved that piledriver Kendricks put on the RB(was it Murray or Jones) when Dallas was trying to run out the clock. This team needs to send more messages like that. The D was aggressive and physical against Baltimore and GMen unlike those TDs they gave Bryant. Watching DRC playing 7 yards off Bryant at the 3 just makes me wonder why the team ever let go of AS. It was supposed to be because they were going to press and DRC would play more physical at the line. You know what my decision has been made AS was more physical player than DRC is. Not to mention he actually picked the ball off.

I can see at best a winning season with Foles if we ground and pound with Shady & Brown then let Foles throw off the play action. With a healthy o line, I say 65% run plays to 35% pass plays for a winning season with Foles under center. Foles didn't look comfortable throwing the ball as much as Luck (52-56 attempts). I think Foles looks comfortable around no more than 30  passing attempts.

Lots of top notch coaches wouldn't allow Brown on the field. But fittingly on this team he fits right in because the O doesn't protect the ball and the D doesn't try and take it away. I don't know where the emphasis on these went but it probably was around when Dawk left and then McNabb.

BG ...not giving  Foles a fair shake in your stats there ....Shags only has 3 starts next to the Rookie class whom that have played the entire season......Like what i saw from him last night ..improvement in chaos .....if the O-line can hold up their end of the bargin ,get a BIG true #1 WR......this offense could be good ..
The D is a complete mess .....The Line is serviceable and decent LBs but the back end is horrible ? ...\ Improper coaching techneeks ?....how many takeaway dey gots ......Have to have a D that can win the game .....DRC Nnamdi  Allen Coleman Tapp Hunt Bell Vick and Dunlap suk..(sure i missed a few)......trade em all for a safety and a couple corners ...call it good

The Eagles have four games remaining in the season, four more opportunities for the players who want to be here as part of the future to step up and show what they can offer. You suggest that this is basically the Preseason. "Lets just see what the young kids can do these last four games to be a part of the future." It doesn't work that way though does it because the preseason is where the coaches get everyone in place in their system. These systems won't exist next season though or the coaches so its all just a Red Herring to try to avert your eyes from this disgusting squad.

On a positive note the team has one thing they can probably build on by getting him on the field. That would be Kelly. The kid has it. Whatever "it" is. He is a NFL Tackle.

Props to Damaris on that exciting stutter step thiller of a return

The strength of the D has been the linebackers. Can this team afford to switch to a 3-4 where these guys won't fit next season?

Foles has played four games. Concentrate on the run game and Foles will do well off the play action. If you make him pass over 40 times you turn him into turnover machine. Keep it basic and Foles will do fine. He is not Andrew Luck, don't do it, keep his passing attempts around 35 for right now, we need his confidence to be high next year.

DeMico Ryans got another year in him...Kendricks is a tough up and comer....Akeem Jordan got caught up in so many blocks last night it looked like he was searching for dance partners....he had a terrible game last night.
Time for him to go as well....

I always just thought Jordan was a role player but he is having his best season by far. I still believe the personnel here is screaming to be an agressive Cover 2 or Tampa 2. That would be my choice(i know who cares about my voice) for the direction of the future of this D.

The team will have to get a beast of a tackler at the weakside spot and I wouldn't put that on Jordan though. The secondary looks a mess any which way you go that's the future I would be looking at.

Foles is the permanent starter. Talking about Vick is a waste of air. We need to focus on how we can win with Foles for the rest of this season. The Vick blame game and the delusional excuses for Foles sub par performances is officially over with as of right now. It's time to get serious and focus on how we get him to a winning level. No more excuses. This is a great way to see what pieces we need for him next year by seeing Foles give 100% trying to win these last games. We need to see him work against teams trying to fight for playoffs berths. No more lame excuses for Foles, I want to make it to the playoffs next year or what is the purpose for keeping him as a starter and having another losing season and not drafting a 1st QB. Lets get real and fix both sides of the ball. No more losing seasons!

I don't think you're going overboard on Brown at all Dave.  I think he is going to be even better
than McCoy, and maybe, much much better.  For real.  And I have thought that since training
camp, and I know you have too.

Hey arg7822, like the passion but you must not know much about football with Johny Manziel comment: Mr Johnny Football is a true freshmen not eligable for the NFL draft for 2 more years.
My hope for our draft will look a little like this:
1st Chance Warmack, G, Alabama
2nd Tony Jefferson*, S, Oklahoma
3rd Dalton Freeman, C, Clemson

This loss felt differently? Really Dave? The ONLY reason is because there were ZERO expectations to win with a bunch of rookies, backups, and a defense that plays with no passion and no commitment. I was pleasantly surprised with Foles, but I won't annoint him a long term answer yet. Those DBs are not going to keep dropping those passes he throws directly to them. Admittedly he played within himself. Again, he didn't win, which is what matters the most. My concern is that he didnt win in college and he hasnt won here yet either.
Brown- I truly like the kid. He is a gamer! But this league has no tolerance for fumblitis. He will either correct it quickly or he will be looking for new employment.
The defense - No injuries. Cole, Babin, Jenkins, Ryans, DRC, Nnamdi.....SIX of 11 players on the defense that have been pro bowl players and age wise should still be in their prime. Yet this is the worst defense that I have ever witnessed for the Eagles. How is it possible? Babin wasnt the problem. Defensive coordinator? The players are OFTEN out of position. Nate Allen needs to be benched immediately. But how do you explain the D line? They dont stop the run well and they get little to no pressure on the QB. When the Eagles blitz, they still dont put pressure on the QB. How could this many defensive pro bowl players suck so badly?

>>DDD: I was pleased /frustrated wth the offensive side of the game. MM has "Bo Jackson" at RB and still makes hand-offs from the shot gun. Every OC in the NFL wants a kid like "Hershel Walker" playing in their offense in a Pro-Set / I Formation. Frankly, Bryce Brown would have run for 200 yards with a proper set up to the ground game.Fans of the rushing game immediately see how effective this big kid is running down hill--and he should push Shady McCoy for carries--if not replace him at tailback. AR & Marty Mornhinweg have been sitting on this keg of offensive dynamite for how long?

Nick Foles. Hope you are seeing WHY I was angling to have Foles just start the season. It might not have helped the overall record. You are seeing the kid getting sync'd up with his WRs. Makes old Avant look petty good and Rily Cooper, too.Maclin has his plays too. And, that is playing behind an injured OL. Yes, I am a Nick Foles fan. Even Damaris contributed at WR. Only disappointed that Havili, and Harbor weren't used a bit more.

Any one really miss Desean Jackson last night? Didn't think so. Another Howie $$$$ contract for "ego" not effectiveness? Let me admit I am impressed with Tony Romo as a football player. Tough kid and he is at the top of his game. Should the Eagles be ready to move forward without Michael Vick? I was back at training camp--how about the rest of youse?

Dion Lewis has SLOT and FLANKER written all over him. Mornhinweg is a blind fool. Childress would have the offense humming.

O-M-G: Jim Washburn is replaced. AR has made a hash of the defense since Jim Johnson passed away. Musical chairs continue. My GUESS is that Wash has been upset since Babin was terminated. The DL was decent against Romo and a bit porous against the run. Looks like Juan Castillo was as good a DC or better than AR's other 2 choices ( Sean McDermott & Todd Bowles). Am disappointed in job done by DBs...the are Bowles troops and I'd have thought they'd play harder for him.
