Past week was Babin ... how about Nnamdi this week?

And for the grand finale in the last week of the season how about cutting Vick?

Dismantle the "Dream Team" piece by piece.

I agree, Nnamdi will take a pay cut and be here in 2013.  DRC will not be.

Agree with Aso being here next year before DRC.  Also agree with Cole...a total shock to me this year.  He has just disappeared in many games...

Seriously, let DRC go now. We aren't going to renew his contract after the season anyway. This guy is a quitter. You can't have guys that are effort guys 50% of the time. Let Marsh get some time to evaluate him to see if he has any potential for next year. If Marsh doesn't cut it, then you address CB next year in the draft and maybe a lesser, big name free agent. This team is young anyway.

Problem is neither corner is very physical.

I think you can get away with one wussbag corner

but you need one opposite of him who can hit so the linebackers and safeties can focus on helping out the wussbag corners side of the field in the run game.

Not a suprise for me.  I've noticed every season he wears down the second half of the season.  I just think this year is the year where his body has just worn down too much, he hasnt been healthy from the start.  In other words his body breaks down too easily and he isnt getting any younger.  Not that im making excuses for him.  I think he'll be here next year probably with a fresh pay cut.  I think he still has some value as a situational player, 3rd down pass rusher type.

This is bizarre as there was a thread that asked whether Nnamdi or DRC should stay. And yet it was pretty clear that the majority of people on here wanted to keep DRC.

And now?

I honestly think teams caught onto the Wide 9 gimmick. Let's cut Coleman and DRC and move forward with a new mindset, new DC, and new play book.

Coleman is staying as a backup guys and Nnamdi is staying too as long as he accepts a pay cut.  DRC is gone, can't tackle and relies on his speed way too much.

Cole's not going anywhere. The dead money from cutting him would be a million dollars move than his cap hit.

Yeah I wouldn't cut Coleman, I love his heart and he could be a great ST player and 3rd safety.

As for Trent Cole, I'm lost.  Really.

Their play really confuses me.  I thought they were both supposed to be physical corners.  They give giant cushions in coverage and there's a horrified look in their eyes when it appears like they might have to make an open field tackle.  Any time they've been remotely physical, it's at dumb times when they get called for pass interference.

Looking back, we should have wondered why 2 teams were willing to give up "elite" corners?

I think we should keep DRC. I feel that it's more of a DC thing than anything.

Let's get a proper DC that knows what he's doing and knows the kind of personnel he's working with, and then things should look much better.

Neither were really physical. Nnamdi was slightly physical in Oakland but DRC was never physical.

"and there's a horrified look in their eyes when it appears like they might have to make an open field tackle."

 I definitely agree there. Not sure what the deal is there

A new DC isn't going to make 2 tackles for DRC  that prevent WRs from scoring. This guy wants to play 2 hand touch and give 50% effort. We can't have guys like that.

I do understand that, but DRC isn't as horrific as many people make him out to be.

I think a better DC can make the difference but I do agree with you that if a guy doesn't have the heart to lay it on the line, then....
