They need to revamp the entire secondary. I don't even know how they bring in enough players this off-season to replace all of the garbage they have there. And that's ignoring the 1-2 linebackers and 2-3 defensive linemen they'll likely need to bring in.

The Eagles should start Marsh to see if he can amount to anything. Cut DRC. His contract expires after the year anyway. He is a 50% effort guy. You can't win with guys like that. After the season, part ways with Nnamdi if he doesn't restructure significantly.

Aso has been unfairly criticized most of the season.  He hasn't been great, but he isn't terrible and without Aso I think it would be a lot worse.  As for next year, he does have a high number - not sure if he would take a paycut and could be cut as a result of that.  He probably will know this and may just prefer going back out west should a team have the need for a solid veteran corner.

Any coach that's willing to put Nate Allen and/or Kurt Coleman in their starting lineup needs to major help in thir player evaluating.   They should not even be in the league.

The only reason Nate and (especially) Kurt are still starting is because we have no one to replace them with. The fact that there is no one on this roster that the coaches feel confident can do a better job then either of them, is truly sad, and why this team is where it is right now. I'm all for giving Sims a shot. He made some mistakes but also made some plays in the Saints game.

If Babin managed to play his way out of a job, Coleman can't be too far behind. Hell, I'd rather give Jarrett another shot before sitting through four quarters of Kurt trying to shoulder charge an NFL ballcarrier, only to fail miserably, or perhaps the most insulting, hurt himself on the hit.

If you can be posterized in the NFL, Kurt Coleman has shown how.

i would bench ALL OF THEM!!!!

drc was putrid. allen needs to go watch tape of bdawk on how a safety is suppose to tackle. constant lunging arm tackle ATTEMPTS.
it was really pissing me off. i thought allen had potential in his rookie season. i was wrong. he's a bum. nnamdi is a shell of his former self.
colman tries. but he's nothing more than a backup/special teamer.

start boykin, marsh, hughs, sims, anderson. send a message andy.

if Aso isnt asked to play just man all game not worry about tackling he's useless, he has zero understanding of zone concepts he doesnt read patterns or the qb or recognize plays and route patterns, all he's good for is playing man in a trail position and he's not that good at that anymore either.

atleast with asante their was a reward with the risk, he recognized route combinations and can jump a route with the best corners and though he was a speed bump as a tackler so are drc and nambdi.

nambdi skil set is too one dimensional as  and in todays nfl that favors high powered passing namdis game isnt diverse enough to be effective.

Nate Allen can't tackle or cover Witten.  He was beyond atrocious tonight.  Still can't cut a second rounder.  He and Coleman will be our backups next year.  That's right boys enjoy the bench and enjoy the view next year.

Funny, I was just coming to this forum to start basically an identical thread about the same 3 culprits.  but I would add this:  The current Eagles secondary is the worst in the history of the NFL.  Coleman and Allen shouldn't be able to start on an arena football team, and DRC is even worse than those 2.  Nnamdi is average at best.

The following DBs are waay waay better than Coleman, Allen, and DRC..

Asante, of course - part of the reason the Falcons are now the best team in the NFC
Sheldon Brown
Joselio Hanson
Dmitri Patterson even!

Any team with them as backups will have a losing record, because they have no depth at all.

I'd rather let the new coach decide what he wants to do with them before Andy starts decimating the entire team on his way out the door. No point in doing it now, the season is over anyway.

You know what's sad? Cutting the 3 of them sounds ridiculous........ but I have absolutely nothing to say to counter it.

Kurt Coleman is just gawdawful. The only good thing you can say about him is that "at least he tries hard". He's slow. Peeks into the backfield EXCESSIVELY LONG. Play recognition is horrible. How many times have you watched him try to dive in for a hit..... and hit one of his teammates too?

Remember when Nate Allen was a good player? Yeah. ME NEITHER! I thought he was supposed to be a ball hawk. When a pass is downfield...... how come he's nowhere to be found? Takes terrible tackling angles. I don't think I can recall a single time when he's tackled somebody and they went backwards. Wait a minute..... what am I talking about...... I can't recall a single time he's made a solo tackle.

DRC....... how can a guy be so allergic to tackling? I mean...... does he think he's going to hurt himself or something?

Those two touchdown "passes" to Miles and Dex where they caought the pass and ran the rest of it in for 20+ yards, made me ill.

We are going to have a brand new secondary next year.  It is hard to imagine them starting with 4 new guys next year but it is very well possible.  All of them are garbage and our backups who would step in to start aren't that much better.

I honestly don't know how bad it is. Is it one safety that the corners don't trust and are trying to do too much to compensate? Are the safeties so far off the same page? Is it one safety and a corner? Two corners and a safety? The whole group?

I'm against blowing up all 4 starters just for the sake of change. IMO Nnamdi and Allen should stay, DRC and Coleman should be gone. If that doesn't fix it then continue to make changes.
