[Fo Shizzle Dizzle]

Just heard on 610WIP that Jim Washburn has been fired.  Thank God.

Tommy Brasher takes over as DL coach.

On the Angelo Morning show.....they reported the Eagles have released a statment to this effect.  I would imagine the statement will be on the PE site later today.  Anyway, good bye to Jim and his Wide freaking 9.

It seems like the Eagles are slowly narrowing the team down to Bryce Brown, Ryan's and Cox.

Yup.  I think the front office has stripped Andy of any decision making responsibilities.  They are making him get rid of any player (babin) or coach (Washburn) that is outspoken and a possibile problem behnd the scenes.  We all have heard Jim is very outspoken and has clashed with others at times.

Nope because you need a decent LB corps to play the Wide 9 properly and Andy ignored the LB position until this year.

The hiring of Washburn is the singular biggest reason for the decline.

Big personality, who wanted to impose his wide nine. This meant there were no defensive co-ordinators who wanted to take it, so andy had to promote Juan Castillo.
Lost one of the best o-line coaches.
Hired washburn and his annoying scheme o line.

Washburn should have been instantly fired for his comments about how Babin's release was nothing more than a scape goat. Go join Babin in Jacksonville you scum bag.

The wide 9 and defense was doomed to failure when you hire a Dline coach to implement his style of play over the DC.

The style of defense should start at the DC and then he hires the coaches to implement his defensive viewpoint, not the other way around.

yes i too see andy back , along with vick after a restructure of contract. which i think isn't a bad idea' once the starters come back on the o-line the offense should be fine with 2 good rb's. if this team could find 2 new safeties and atleast 1 cb along with a defensive cordinator, they would be back in the playoffs.
