Dave, have you ever heard of someone making the mistake of hiring and then firing the same person? Thats what Reid did with Castillo. Unexcusable!!

Happens all the time. In fact, that is exactly what Jeffrey Lurie will be doing in another month or so.

I thought this was mistakes from the game post so I will Opine anyway, If I am Reid I throw the challenge flag on Browns fumble. Big mistake you win that challenge it takes six points off the board and they (Eagles) possible get points on that drive. It looked to me that his knee was down then the ball came out. In a losing season what do you have to lose a timeout.

It's a shame it had to come to that. I like Juan very much. He wanted the job and he got it and it was just a difficult situation from the start. Too many changes and not enough time to get it fixed. What can I say?

Just because he wanted it doesn't mean there was any way in hell giving it to him should have ever been a serious consideration. It was beyond ridiculous, & the results bore that out.

When you hire the D-line coach first, and he's locked into the controversial Wide-9, you don't find better options.

Apparently not much about much of anything.

We said it at the time - just the idea of hiring a DL coach with a wacky concept first, and then making the use of the wacky concept a condition of taking the DC job, in and of itself is so f****ng absurd, it escapes rational thought. What self respecting defensive coordinator would accept such idiotic terms? Ergo, we got the offensive line coach.
I always found it bizarre the way the fan base was gushing over the OL and DL coaches at the time - where or when have you ever seen such an emphasis on line coaches? Just another of the zillion ways this entire regime was a** backward in everything it did over the last 5-6 years, yet was not called on it until the roof caved in.

I wish we had all of the relevant info as to how it actually went down and what the thought process was within the organization (not that it changes anything).
.
Clearly the inability to find a suitable replacement for JJ is one of the major factors for the teams demise.
