Dave,
Heard on the radio earlier today that Washburn would talk down and even call Juan Castillo, Juanita in front of players.
Is this true? If so, how did this not get corrected by Andy Reid? Did this play a factor in the way the players performed on the field?
I was never for the Castillo to Def Cord move that Reid did, but I did respect the fact that he undertook the position and tried his best with what he had. I don't believe anyone should be belittled in any fashion when attempting to try a job for either the first time or the first time in a long time.
If this question was already asked, my apologies.

Didn't here that before but wouldn't be suprised.
Well at least he was let go today in the middle of a garbage season. Should bring him down to earth a little bit but probably won't
The very next move I would make is to ask JC to come back as the O-Line coach and fire Mudd the next minute if he excepts the job.

They were just talking about this on NFL Network. Say what you want about Juan as a DC, Washburn had no business doing that. Just another sign of how out of control things have gotten.

I don't respond to reports or rumors ... It's unfortunate the way it worked out

If it's true, and I believe it is, then I'm glad the guy is gone. Juan may not have been successful as the DC but he always put 100% into the Eagles and wasn't just a "hired gun" and definitely deserved respect.

I agree. I bet if Washburn would've called Dave "Davita", Dave would've decked his puss.

^^LOL
But yea I'm upset about the Castillo thing and also disappointed if this rumor is true. Castillo was far from the number 1 problem with this team. He honestly was one of the lesser probelms

I'm not surprised if this rumor is true about Washburn. He was known to be someone who only cared about his defensive line players, and any one who tried to interfere, Washburn would make stupid or assinine comments about that person or persons, and he doesn't care if his comments are made in front of other people. Go into the Titans website and if they have a forum like ours, put the question to the members. Juan is a loyal, decent man who cares about others, and the Eagles were fortunate to have had him as a coach for so many years.

This really sheds some light on why there is a leadership problem in the locker room. You have the DL coach undermining the DC and the HC letting it happen. So, if there is no leadership at the top, then how can we be surprised when that trickles down into the locker room. Andy Reid really created a mess by hiring Washburn before hiring a DC.

Yep.
King Andy has created quite the clusterfugggg for this football organization. Quite a clusterfuggg. In hindsight, so many mistakes made. And it definitely seems like the first mistake was the hiring of Wash. It just set everything else in motion. LOL Butterfly effect.
