I was watching NFL Live on ESPN today and a reporter stated that Washburn was fired in the parking lot at Philly Airport after the Eagles arrived.

There was a time when the boss(Andy) would call you into his office and break the bad news to you. This team has no shortage of personnel that needs to be fired but now I have to wonder where the next firing will take place. Firing is not just for the office anymore.

I was disgusted after hearing that Washburn was fired in a parking lot. It was not a matter of who was fired but where they were fired.

Many say that Lurie won't fire Reid until after the season because firing him sooner would be classless. Ok, I'm fine with that. I also agree.

Dave, do you think the location and timing of the Washburn firing was best?

I would be totally ok with Andy removing all of the tp from the bathroom stalls then waiting for Marty. Then, when it's too late, giving Marty the bad news and leaving him in there. I also hope Andy turns the lights out when he leaves.

After hearing what an idiot he was in the building and being a cancer on the team like it's reported, I think they should have fired him in Dallas and made him find his own way home.

As for where (and when) he was fired, you're not at all privy to the situation, suppose Washburn was in the parking lot berating Andy or in some way doing things that demanded that he be fired on the spot? Would you still be "disgusted"?

Bunch of prima donnas in here. Washburn should of been dropped off on a gravel road and left in the dust for many reasons if all the stories are true.  You belittle and berate people and it's just ok. Especially another coach and in front of players and other staff.  For this guy to think he's above everybody else and his d-line is absolutey one of the worst underachievers as a group on the team.  Not to mention when they don't perform they leave everybody else exposed.  Nice what a piece of work.  It's one thing to try and motivate players, but to do that to Juan and other staff is uncalled for period no matter how you look at it.

If the rumors of how he treated his coworkers (and superiors) are true, he deserves whatever treatment he got.

I don't want to provide validity to the accuracy of the reporting, so I won't comment on it. Needless to say, it was something brewing for a while, apparently. I don't think Andy Reid has ever been anything other than respectful to his coaches during his caeer.

It was reported that Reid removed the fridge and coffee maker from the DL meeting room that Washburn had installed.

It was also reported he did that because they were the only unit on the team that had a fridge and cofeemaker and he was sick of a unit treating themselves better than everyone else on the team.
