People talk about Jackson under performing after getting a contract but why do Herremans and Cole get a pass? I feel like since they got their extension they have both been poor. Herremans was average at best at right tackle before he got hurt, and Cole has 1.5 sacks through 11 games. What gives? Very disappointed in 2 guys that were supposed to be core players for the Eagles.
Players disappearing after getting extensions?

Jackson played well this year when given a chance.
Cole may have simply lost whatever edges he had. Maybe a more traditional 4-3 will get him back to normal.

I agree jackson was having a good year, although a few more TDs would of been nice.

The production this year might be a result of the complete disarray in the locker room causing the players to care less. I dunno what it is, but let's hope its an anomaly and that it's fixed next year.

It seems like virtually everyone on the roster (whether they got a contract extension or not) is having a less-than-stellar season. Singling out the guys who got paid at this point is fair, but it's not as though we could gather the guys who did not get paid are playing better or with more passion, so its tough to say there is a correlation. When everyone looks like they stink, they probably stink from the head (front office/coach)..
