If Lurie really does bring back Andy Reid for another year?  All these rumors about this today have made me feel sick to my stomach. And the day Lurie announces he's bringing Andy Reid back for another year, I think I'll be so stunned and disappointed. Lurie would replace Reid as public enemy number one

I would be fine with it as long as Moronwig and Bowles were gone!

ill vomit every where, then watched very depressed as he continues his lethargic play calling && NEVER ADJUSTING his gameplan or to the opponent. Get ready for another 10+ loss season if he comes back.

Sums up how I feel.  I've been prepping myself after seeing all these moves recently I think its Andy and Luries way of trying to win the fans back.  They arent dumb im sure they know how we feel.  With that said I dont think they are done I just hope MORONweg and Bowles are among those moves.

Why do some of you think that Reid staying and Morningweg going will change anything? This is Reid's offense and his playbook, the next OC will be calling from the same list of plays as Morningweg. Do you think that Reid won't hire someone with the same pass first philosophy and actually hire an OC with a ground and pound philosophy?

If Reid stays I will not buy anymore Eagles merchandise or go to any games as long as he is here.

if Reid gets truly involved in coaching again (and not leaving it to assistants), stays away from scrambling quarterbacks and creates a sense of offensive balance, drafts players at positions of needs, stays away from small "fastballs" that where down over the course of the season, uses players to their strengths, learns to make proper in-game adjustments, and develops good clock management skills, there's no one else I'd rather have than Reid.

I know. I'm asking for the impossible

So many freaking drama queens on this board and among this fan base, oh knows if reid is back i may cry boo hoo. Reid has worn thin on me and im a big red supporter but if he is retained as coach or in some other capacity im not going to jump off a bridge, he's a good coach just seems his voice has gotten stale, which might be a good idea to put him in a FO position and give the players a new voice.

The mental gymnastics on this board is staggering. Think about these statements:

"I won't like it, but I'll still go to/watch the games" - Why would you do something you don't enjoy? You don't do this in other aspects of life, why be a blind patriot to football team that is not meeting your standards?

"I'll be ok if he hires new coordinators" - the coach dictates the system. If Andy wants to pass 50 times, he will pass 50 times, regardless of who the O.C is. As we saw wih Washburn, coordinators who don't play nice get the axe so he isn't going to hire a run commited O.C. that will conflict with his philosophy.

If the Eagles are your squad then they are your squad, but you don't need to be an apologist for them. It's OKAY to take a break from these bums until they meet your standards.

If you have low expectations then you are expecting Reid to come back, or you won't be surprised if Reid comes back, it's really that simple. The healing won't begin until this team is gutted from the top down.

If holding on to all of their past glory makes you feel good as a fan then good on you, but those days aren't coming back anytime soon. If Andy comes back next year this will still be a crappy assembly of players and coaching (same garbage DB's, same soft receivers, 2 "ok" linebackers, ? marks at QB, ANOTHER new defensive scheme).

If "enjoying" all of that low standard football makes you a real fan then be my guest, but don't come here ****in and moanin about it this time next year if you want or trying to reason Andy being back.

Actually no, see if you have standards (which you do not apparently), you have a cut-off point of what is and what isn't acceptable performance and behaviour. So if your standards are low (like yours) then being mediocore or less (like you) is acceptable. Copy that?
