I can't stand when he continuously bashes us Eagles fans for wanting Reid gone. It's almost as if he takes it personal everytime he hears those words "FIRE ANDY"

He's in the 'coaching fraternity'.  He'll pretty much always defend Reid and other coaches.  Same for Brian Billick.

I didnt see analysts bashing Broncos fans when they wanted Shanahan gone or Titans fans when they wanted Fisher gone.

Mooch is a former coach, he understands the structure of the game, he spent his entire working life around football. He's opinion is much more informed than that of "angry message board guy". Mooch knows what's going to happen if the Eagles to Richie Kotite 2.0.

What he's saying is that somebody who has lived, breathed and slept football for his entire life knows much more then some armchair GM.

He's defending his friend.

Still its time for Reid to go.  His used up his bag of tricks with this team.  He'd be better served going to a new team starting from scratch and going back to how he had to do things when he first came here.  I though could see him not seeing success elsewhere because he's not the same guy he was when he took over the team.  All the things that have happened with his kids have changed him and he might not have that same edge anymore.

A new voice needs to be in here to hold the players accountable and it has to be one that will put a focus on our RBs.  Reid for whatever reason hasn't been capable of doing that and I don't see him changing now.

Yes the Eagles need to be careful when selecting the next HC but fear of the unknown shouldn't stop them from making the change.  Its time.  I've defended Reid in the past but at this point something needs to change.

Maybe because it is personal... didn't they coach together in Green Bay?

Kotite was fired because his 7-2 team fell apart and finished with seven consecutive losses after going 8-8 the year before.
Andy is currently on an eight game losing streak which may grow to twelve before it's over and the team was 8-8 last year.

Bye Andy. You can at the latter take responsibility for your mistakes and that is somewhat admirable but in the NFL and as long as you have been there what makes you a better than great coach is foresight and you only have hind sight. Time for a change but pray it is a good one is all i can say...

Sorry for the typos I'm drunk

Please feel free to disagree though. Andy is always late in "getting it".  Good and great coaches get it beforehand not after. Sorry if the truth hurts...

They'd been friends for a long time and he wants to stick up for his friend. Billick does the same thing. Of course he's gonna take it personal because he doesn't wanna see his friend get fired.

Yeah, like others have said he's just sticking up for his buddy.  But, he foolishly acts like Reid has been here for 4-5 years and we want him gone a year or two after we went to the Superbowl.

And it's simply not the case, Reid is a .500 coach since the superbowl.

He probably does. He's a long time friend of Andy's. Was part of the Holmgren tree. No one wants to see a good friend be hammered, the way Reid is being hammered by the media and the fans. Wouldn't you defend your friend?
But at the same time, Steve knows how the game goes...you win... your loved. You lose... your hated.

Many Eagles fans are a bit "extreme" dont you think??? LOL

All those leftwingnut marxist M F'ers with the hands out, blaming everyone else for their plight...

Reid has brought a winning team to philly. He has made mistakes, and hopefully while he is here, he will correct them....
