Calling all Reid lovers, here is your very own thread. Here you can reminisce about the glory of Andy Reid, the Vince Lombardi of our generation

Discuss:

- All of his superbowl titles
- All of his division titles
- All of his great coaching
- How it was Roseman's fault he got stuck with Washburn, Castillo, Babin, Namde, DRC, etc, etc. Completely mothballing his (not one, not two, not three, not four, not five) sixth superbowl run
- How much you want him back for year 15, 16, 17, 20, 30
- How he will turn Foles into Brady v.2 cause he's a living QB factory

All I can say is.... the thought has crossed my mind over the past few days.

But..

I did say around this time last year that he had to go if he couldn't put it together this season. Even though the understanding and rational (irrational? lol) part of me wants to see if he can string a full seasons worth of games like the past two (with the pass/run balance) .. I just realize that the fear of change isn't enough to potentially go through this kind of season or worse.

I sure have thought about it though.........

I want Andy Reid back as Executive VP of football operations, not head coach.

anyone else notice that hes gotten progressively crappier as head coach?  his recent records prove that.  when was the last time you have thought to yourself... "what a great play call!" not, "what a great move by the player" (as in a throw, run, catch, etc)?

As many problems as there are with Reid, there's 0 guarantee that someone else will come in make things right. It's not as if the Eagles have a history of good head coaches.

That would be so dumb. Why would Lurie let Reid who still wants to coach here, hire someone to replace him? Reid needs to be done with this organization completely. We need a new Executive VP of Football Operations.

He's already VP of football operations, & he's done a worse job at that then he has as head coach.  I don't want Andy to have anything to do with this team in any capacity next season what so ever.

The ONLY thing this fanbase has to look forward to this season is the FIRING of Andy Reid.  Mr. Lurie, please don't take that away from us too.

I don't see us being a major contender next year anyway. Of course that can change if Foles shows more promise or if they go out and find someone to play QB. Until then, wtf, who cares if he's back. It'll probably be a tough season either way, with what we have at QB.

The troubling thing is that if Reid DOES come back next year (I don't think he will) it will be difficult for him to bring in new assistants and convince FA's to come here under a "one year lame duck coach".
So realistically, for all the people that want Reid back next year, he'd most likely be given an extension. Now...forget about NEXT year, are you ready for 3 more years of this?
