Anyways, I hope his concussion heals fully. The symptoms sound nasty.

I do not like Michael Vick as a QB (nothing to do with his past, never have), and I hope the Eagles move on, but I do wish him a complete recovery from his concussion & I commend him on turning his life around.

The way I look at it, the end of the Vick era is too similar to the end of the McNabb era. Fans on both sides call out the other side. The Vick "lovers" think he shouldn't go despite what else is going on. The Vick "haters" think he's the worst thing since...........well ever. Then there are those of us caught in the middle who may like Vick and appreciate what he's done but have accepted the fact that the time to move on has come. It was the same thing 2.5 years ago when McNabb was traded.

Everything you just listed about Vick occurred in 2004 and prior.  We are talking about who should lead the Eagles in 2013.  NINE YEARS LATER.  He is 33 years old, battered and clearly slower than he used to be.

What has Vick done for THIS team?  Post-Vikings game, which laid the blueprint for stopping him, in 24 games these are Vick’s numbers: 54 percent completion percentage with 31 touchdowns, 25 interceptions and a 77.3 passer rating.  Not even counting the fumbles and the several games a season you can count him out due to injury.

Vick is 18-16 as an Eagles quarterback, barely over .500 ( and that's including his 2010 run of good play.)

3 years as a starter, only 1 playoff appearance and zero playoff wins.
