Haha, Jags should have gotten Tebow and run something similar to what Shanahan is doing in Washington. They'd still suck, but probably would be a little better and at least someone would know they exist as a team.

"And here we see the 'Andy Reid is holding Vick back' float, ladies and gentlemen. It's much bigger and louder than 2010's 'Andy Reid is making Vick awesome' balloon."

True. If we started Vick again, we'd be in the top 12. That's much more respectable. Fletcher Cox was 12th overall....not a bad spot.

Say what you will but Vick is one of the only guys on this team that played with heart and tried his hardest and left everything on the field and for that I thank him.
It honestly seems like a lot of people just hate the guy more than you normally would hate a player seeing as how many topics and people in this thread post in every Vick topic. I think the dog thing still lingers with some people (even though most will deny it)

It's a double edge sword. . .yes he plays his heart out which is very respected by even those of us who haven't ever liked the guy as a QB. However on the flip side of that, those "extra effort" plays are when he turns into a turnover machine by thinking he can make something happen on every single play, in which he can't anymore because his greatest weapon (his legs) aren't close to what the used to be.
I give the guy an A for effort but that is about as far as I will go.
FWIW - none of views on Vick has anything to do with his off field past. . .I speak merely about on field football play and never thought much of him even in his glory days in ATL. . .his playoff record (or lack there of) and his turnovers is all one really has to look at. . .

I see what you're saying ... but you could make an argument that Kurt Coleman tries his hardest & leaves everything on the field, too. The bottom line, for both of them, is that their best just isn't consistently good enough.

The difference being that being a safety, you're out there by yourself whereas quarterback has to rely on other pieces.

You don't think a S depends on the other guys doing what they're suppose to so that the S's job is easier?? You think if Ray Lewis wasn't playing in front of Ed Reed that Ed Reed would have the numbers he has had or lasted as long as he has???
You're absolutely crazy and have 0 football IQ if you truly believe that. . .

Ever noticed how only about 6 or 7 of you Vick Suckers just 'like' everything one another says?
It could be the most ignorant football post ever, but as long as Vick is exalted you like it.
You guys have more ex-Cuses than a Orangeman Yearbook
" Vick is in his prime. Wait till next year. You'll see. "

Cool head = Take sarcastic shots at the backup when he performs as well as Vick... Look at how crappy he is, Bench him for Edwards...Ignore lack of talent around Backup.
