say the raiders pull off an upset w mcfadden coming back, the chiefs beat the browns and the jaguars wind up beating the jets which is also very possible.. is the first pick going to be ours then, assuming we lose on sunday as well?

Raiders will lose. Jags are horrid. And maybe the chiefs can pull it off.

I don't even see why it really matters whether we pick first or 5th.

Is there even a clear cut first pick of the draft yet? If there is, its probably Geno Smith. And I don't want him.

I can't believe I'm saying this, but I'm not sure we win again this season.

maybe, but is there really someone that we want that won't be available at the #3 or 4 pick?

well were definitely not winning so... i hate saying this cause i cannot stand losing. but I would gladly accept the no.1 pick. too bad this disaster of a season couldnt have happened last year. we could have had either luck or griffin.

Totally irrelevant.  All that matters is the standings after week 17.  Quite frankly, it's not too big a deal this year.  There isn't a QB worth picking in round 1...even at 32.  They'll more than likely be in the top 5 somewhere....hopefully that gets us the best OT in the draft.  Peters should be back...move Herremans back inside and start the rookie at RT.  Kelly looks like he may actually work out but could use more time to develop.  Let him develop more next year....then get rid of Peters after next year and start Kelly and move the rook over to the LT spot.

it does if we want that tackle from Texas Am. he is supposed to be one of the best LT to come out since Joe Thomas. He would be a welcome for sore eyes. We could ahve Peters at LT, move herremans back to RG and have the rookie start at RT. our oline would actually be good potentially really good. which would be huge for foles development

You're high

Tampa has one of the most potent offenses in the NFL. Don't be surprised if they drop 40 on us.

LOL. If foles continues to play like he did against Dallas I don't think we go QB. I hope he does cause it means we have a future that isnt bleak. I really want the tackle from Texas A&M cause our line next year if everyone comes back would be pretty legit. If we cannot get him I am all for trading out and stockpiling picks because our entire secondary needs to be replaced.

Due to the tie breakers the best we can due is 3rd after this week. Jags and cheifs both have weaker scedules than we do. If Oakland wins we move up. They all have much easier schedules though so we could move up but not much this week.

They'll probably rely heavily on Doug Martin.

We haven't allowed an RB to get over 100 yards yet this season, and since we're done with the wide 9 our run defense might actually get even better this week.

My thoughts exactly.

The 1st overall player in this year's draft will be an overpaid player who probably would have been 10th overall in last year's draft.  Whoever gets 1st overall this year will be begging to trade down.

I seriously don't see Peyton losing against Raiders. The KC game could go either way and same with the Jags game.

Tampa has the leagues best run defense but not the best pass. Although I want to see Brown, Polk, and Lewis go at it against the best run defense I think AR will go pass happy

Having to endure a garbage season with high expectations, then looking on the bright side to drafting high, only to learn your drafting Offensive Linemen

We need a good line and I want a good line, Its just sooooo boring drafting them.

Honestly since Andy WAS a lineman in college coupled with the fact that we usually have had a average- to- good O-Line in his years here, Its crazy to see us be complete ish

Disagree. I may not want any particular player at #1, but I'm willing to bet there is a team out there that would love to have Geno Smith. Trade the pick for the best deal available, even in a not so strong draft the #1 pick is going to hold some decent value.
