12 carries for 6 yards today for Brown

and

9 catches for 104 yards and a TD for Maclin today

The main reason for this thread is to call out all of the morons who want to trade Lesean McCoy because Brown is such a stud, and the people who think Maclin sucks and should be traded/released

That being said i would NOT tweak the Offense very much for 2013

Starting QB - Foles
RB's - use a two headed monster in McCoy and Brown to take pressure off of Foles
WR's    - Jackson, Maclin, Avant (slot), Riley Cooper (he's shown some promise), D Johnson (shown potential as well, minus that muffed punt)
TE's - Celek and Harber are fine
Tackles    - Jason Peters and a Solid Free Agent or Trade or a Tackle via a top 10 pick
Guards - Herremans, Keep Mathis, but bring in someone to challenge him
Center - Kelce and possibly bring in a veteran with more size just in case

Defense is another story, but it would be foolish to get rid of Maclin and or McCoy

A rookie RB got 6yds against the #1 run defense in the league and Maclin got 100+ against the 32nd pass defense

6 yards on 12 carries does not scream problem with running back it screams problem with Oline.  Plus lets be honest, do you think the Bucs really feared our passing game at all?  They keyed in on the run.  The sold out to stop it.  And they did.  It will balance out.  I dont want McCoy traded not in the least, however its only in our best interest if Brown succeeds.

Settle down. Goofball Reid went pass happy because of the Bucs #1 rush D and pathetic pass D.

Not gonna put a whole lot of blame on Brown because the oline was horrible at run blocking. Though I wish MM would have called more runs between the tackles instead of bouncing all the runs towards the sidelines. Tampa has a ton of speed, a lot more than the Eagles oline.

Bryce Brown needs to tuck that damn ball in though. The kid really needs to learn that before he costs us another game.

Wow, one great game for Maclin and one down game for Bryce Brown after he was setting all kinds of Eagles rookie RB records. Just stop. Bryce Brown is a really good back and had a down week. It happens.

Also, one good week from Maclin doesn't erase all the weeks he didn't show up when the team, you know, was actually alive for the playoffs and needed him.

Maclin can't get out of town fast enough for me. He's not that good.

Yo stfu..I hate how when a player underperfoms all year long, then they finally have a good game, some idiot on here thinks that player should be excused or something.

Lets see Maclin get 100 rec yards in the final 3 games.

Brown got 6 yards today be cause Marty and Andy continuously called the stretch play to the outside over and over and over and over again. That's not on Brown. He's running with what's called. Notice how long it took before they actually had him set up with a lead blocker and ran straight ahead?

Maclin had some great blocks away from the LOS during the game and he came alive in the 3rd and 4th qt when he was needed most.

Avant again proves his worth in the slot.

Celek acts tough but man he gets beaten like a Rag Doll.

Give Maclin some credit.

Anyone who says trade either of the rbs is a moron.  Brown's biggest problem today is they kept calling runs to the outside which haven't worked in weeks and were a worse idea today.

You're an idiot. He has averaged 865 yards per year in his first three years. That's with horrible QB's throwing him the ball while being a #2 WR.

+1

Not that I want to trade Shady because that would be pretty dumb.

Also we've seen this from Maclin before he has a great game then he'll get hurt then come back and wont do anything for the next 4 games.  Then another decent game then another dissapearing act.

As for Brown he's got raw talent but they really need to work with this guy on his ball security and his vision.  I noticed today a couple of times he had holes up inside and still tried to bounce things outside.  Cant get down on a rookie RB who played very little college and in only his 3rd NFL start gets shut down.

Maclin has the talent to be very good, but lacks the heart and courage and maturity and toughness to be that consistently.

I do watch every game. Why the hell would you get rid of Maclin and create a hole at WR when we have other areas of this team we need to spend our resources on?

And SackthatQB 865 yard average is pretty damn good for a #2 WR. How many #2's around the league are putting up those kids of numbers with crap at QB? Look at Fitz with a garbage QB play. He has probably less yards than Maclin this year.

1.we won't have any wholes at WR,assuming we pick up Bowe or any other FA WR.

2.horrible QB's? You act like we have Mark Sanchez, christion ponder, or Ryan Fitzpatrick playing QB.

Yeah only Mike Vick, Kevin Kolb, Vince Young, and Mike Kafka.

It's holes, not wholes. And yeah lets dump Maclin in the hopes that we pick up Bowe. Makes great sense!

You still haven't named a #2 WR that is playing better than Maclin. There might be 1 or 2, but Maclin is a great #2 option, and doesn't cost a ton of money.

I'm intrigued with what a new coach and OC could do with this offense. 1 terrific RB another promising 1. Jackson, Maclin, Cooper, Avant, Celek. Just fix the oline - who knows?

Agree with this. If they can't bring in someone better, then I'm ok with Maclin coming back for the final year on his deal, but I don't extend him unless he shows he can be more consistent.
