Dave,
Ever see fans from a 3 win team take over a stadium before? Not bad for a fanbase thats constantly ridiculed by the media and taunted by the players, coaches and team staff that they follow so passionately.
The NFL will never see anything like what we saw in that stadium today. Ever.
Funny that had we done something stupid it would be top news everywhere but we show up and surprise everyone like we have all season and there isnt a peep.
Rightfully critical but unmatched in loyalty and support.

Tough love....but ever present......
It was good for the players, especially the younger ones, to get a win while hearing Eagles chants on the road. That part is a good thing.
In the big picture, this team needs a top 5 pick in April, and winning meaningless games in the 2012 season will prevent that. I won't root against the team, but losing close games while the young guys develop is probably the best case scenario.

It was a wonderful showing from the fans and everyone appreciated it and acknowledged it. Glad the team rewarded the fans with a win

I live in Nashville and a couple years ago I went to the Eagles game. There were probably about 40% Eagles fans. That weekend the Phillies were in the playoffs and Philly fans on Sat night were invading the downtown area bars with Phillies and Eagles gear. The same thing happened earlier this season when the Bears were here, it was like Chicago took over Nashville.
The passionate fanbases love their team no matter what, even when we're complaining about what we don't like.
But to the OP's point, you will NEVER, EVER read/see any media coverage (not even local) that acknowledges the positives of Philly fans. Ever. They want to bring up booing Santa (despite the truth behind that), booing McNabb at the draft (which was 10 Eagles fans booing the FO for not taking a RB, not McNabb specifically plus Giants fans booing the Eagles) and other things.
The media and game commentators are bashing Philly fans and praising Reid every game...every loss...saying Reid is great and will have a job in a heartbeat. They refuse to criticize him for the bad decisions and losing games the last 2 seasons.
The media hates Philly fans, and Philly pro teams don't do anything to defend the fan base.

Yeup, currently living in SE FL, no one likes the Dolphins down here, they keep their loyalties to the city they're coming from. Lot's of Jets, Giants and Pat fans down here. Just can't get myself into rooting for the Dolphins, don't hate'em, just can't identify with a fish for a team's mascot, Eagles on the other hand are cool. I honestly don't know how the Cleveland faithful deal with such a horrible name, even if it's named after a former coach/owner. Maybe change their names to the dogs, after their dog-pound tradition, and get Vick on the cheap next year to be their back up to Brandon. Dogs do have that gritty blue collar edge for that rusted out city.

Sunny and 80 degrees down there, damn, I wish I would have made a mini-vacation of the weekend and gone to the game!! LOL
But those FL teams will always have the opposing fans in their stadiums. Well, except J'Ville, no one goes to their games. That place might as well be South Georgia!
