Does the win count?

That being said the talk was how we could easily have lost all the games we won with Vick, because we won on last second scores or missed field goal. So this was used to prove Vick sux. Well now that Foles has his first win does it count, since it was on a last second score???

At the end of the day I love when the Eagles win and I don't care who is QB when they win.
But for real, Nick Foles completed some passes today that I have not seen a Eagle QB complete in a long time. His deep ball accuracy does need some work though. He did make some rookie mistakes but you can't deny that this kid looks real good. Better each time he touches the ball in fact.

No it doesn't count. Vick would have thrown for 500 yards against that crappy defense and had the game in the bag by the end of the 3rd quarter. Foles just got lucky that he had the little success that he had against lousy Tampa Bay.

I would think anyone with a brain will look at that game for what it was and is.
1 - another chapter in the progression of Foles
2 - to see if Foles APPEARS as though he COULD be at least a productive starter for this team
3 - does he appear to understand what he sees when he comes to the LOS
4 - does he appear to make proper changes at the LOS most of the time
5 - does he hav good pocket presence
6 - is he cool under pressure
7 - does it appear as though he is getting better each game.
For yesterday he easily passed all those tests. Now on to next week.

Oh Boy another Vick sucks thread. I think this is around 110 Michael Vick hate/sucks threads now. Keep em coming., maybe we can beat Donovan McNabb's record.

Bottom line is Foles was clutch on the 2nd to last throw to Avant...that was a big time throw and i dunno if Vick would have made it
Best case scenario for Foles and the offense is an improved OLine and a coach who really uses McCoy AND Brown next season, that'll help him in the passing game

Roll out to the right keeping his eyes down the field and puts a strike in the hand of Avant in the center of the field. Hit Avant in the hands where only he could catch it, and threaded the ball between two defenders. This type of throw has been Vick's nightmare for the last couple years. Pretty sure it happened in the second quarter. I have see Vick F*** up throws like that for the last two season. Foles needs deep ball work... Vick needs short ball work.... Personally I will take a QB with a solid short game over a QB who can only throw the deep ball well.
Lets not forget about the TD pass at the end to win the game for that matter. If Michael Vick could do that we would not have had so many red zone issues this season.
Last week we saw the TD to Cooper. That pass was in the only place where it would not have been picked off. He threw it to Cooper inside hand over the inside shoulder of the defender. Had the ball been outside even a few inches that was an interception.
Look I love Micheal Vick. I wanted to see him win here and when it all started in 2010 I was not shocked that the Eagles looked so good. However after the last two seasons Michael Vick has convinced me that he is just not going to get it done here. Maybe in a new city with a new coach. But it aint happening here.
Keeping Vick would be like asking to keep loosing at this point. He is not the guy to run this system its that simple. I can say it without it being a Michael Vick is bad sort of thing. I still like Vick, still hope for the best for him, and still hope he gets a shot somewhere.
