Great play by him and great game over all.

I'll be honest in real time I thought that was one of those great attempt but just lands out of bounds plays at first.

now if the whole team played with that sort of drive all season maybe we'd still be in serious playoff contention.

His one-handed catch along the sidelines was magnificent! I saw him. I saw the ball coming. I envisioned a ball sailing 5yds past him. That play shocked the hell out of me.

He had another nice catch later on in the game that went out of bounds.

Jason Avant would be on my team any day of the week.

He has fantastic hands, and will give 100% on every catch and isn't afraid to take a hit to make the catch.

Last night's catch was absolutely awesome. It looked like it was sailing way over his head, but the presence and awareness to pluck it out of the air and to hold on to it all the way was incredible.

My WR catch of the season!

Regardless of his game yesterday, Avant is the least of the Eagles problems and is of no concern moving forward.

Avant showed tremendous heart. That one handed catch will go down as one of the best catches this season!

why would you trade the most reliable receiver the Eagles have?

Even when the Eagles drafted Avant, I did some research on him and felt he'd be a good addition to the team. Everything I saw at the time said he was a physical receiver with reliable hands and could be one of those underrated guys who shows up at the right time. Avant has done that for the Eagles. The majority of the time all you have to do is put the ball in his area and he's gonna find a way to come down with the ball and work to get a first down. I think the reason people are down on Avant because he doesn't have top end speed and doesn't get as many touchdowns as some may like but there are times when he makes some plays that don't end up on the highlight shows and that's why some people are down on him. They live by the highlight shows & the stat sheets. But Avant's the type of player that every team would need. Reliable hands, makes plays when he needs to, and does what the team asks him to do. I don't know how anybody would want to get rid of him.

Its funny how he can make these crazy catches but once he's in the endzone its a whole 'nother ball game. Don't get me wrong-I love avant. But, last year or the year before when he was completly wide open in the end zone and he just dropped it. Enigma

Reliable really is this same guy that dropped balls and let them hit him in the face ? Avant has 38 catches on the season and 10 came last 2 games with all are injuries .. his avg  per game is 2.5  this season...He had his best game in years yesterday lets see if he can keep it going

Jason usually has 1 to 2 enormous games each year. In 2009 it was SD, last season it was Buffalo and NE, this season it was Tampa Bay. He's got the best hands on the team. He is reliable. More reliable than any other pass catcher.

That one-handed catch has to be the catch of the year. His other big catch was his final one of the game...diving for that ball at the 1 on 4th down...huge!

I have always liked Jason Avant.  He is a solid #3 and a good third down receiver.
