If Jeff Lurie truly wants to win a championship, he will fire both Andy and Howie. You cannot hand the keys to Howie Roseman. This feeling is the consensus of many ex players, fans, and media members. It is inexcusable to let this guy be the primary and final decision maker. We must get a guy who has a real NFL pedigree and resume in here. The fact that more qualified candidates like Grigson, Ross, and Licht have moved on and succeeded with well respected organizations makes me sick.

Lurie's number one objective and goal is not winning a SB if he lets this guy take the lead on the plan going forward. I pray this owner gets a real football guy in here. I have cried over losses in my younger years, spent numerous hours like all of us on here following this team, and have poured so much love and passion into this team since 1991, when i turned 8 yrs old and was somewhat old enough to understand it. I do not want to throw in the towel, but I simply cannot put the same love and passion into this team if it is run by Howie.

Please Jeff, clean house, start over. This organization needs a fresh start with a new leader and a new vision designing the football program and plan. The fan base will be rejuvenated if a new Director of Football Operations or GM is hired, someone who is qualified, has a track record of success, and is respected. I liken this scenerio to the Phillies finally firing Ed Wade, a similar cap type guy to Howie, and hiring a real GM in Pat Gillick. 3 years into his term, we finally won a championship.

Before everyone reminds me that Howie got an extension back before the season, it is my hope that this was done before this pathetic season, and that Lurie pulls the plug anyway. I am hoping that Howie is "Banner's guy" and that Lurie wipes the slate clean. The extension was never reported or announced by the Eagles. This is very strange, because the Eagles always have press conferences when this stuff happens.

Fire Howie. He recommended Graham to Andy and passed on JPP. He was instrumental in two horrid drafts in 10 and 11. He played a key role in bringing the wide 9 here (if you believe McLane). He has not proven anything to show that he is a qualified GM in this league. For those who say he was just Andy's puppet, it may be true, but he was the GM of a team that was 4 and 8 and 3 and 9 in consecutive years. He has no football background. For a team starting over, we need a real GM in here, not a weasel with a law degree.

This. Not sure why people make threads threatening to "quit". Attention grab most likely.

How come this needed a whole new post. I thoughht there was a thread about 3 posts down entitled Who is the weakest link?
We here is the link to that. And here is my post detailing the same thing. Getting rid of Andy alone will not solve this teams issues.

You must be smoking Crack.....look at the 15 rookies who are playing, this is the first draft in years that has potential starter's and stars in the NFL, Howie is the best thing that has occurred in the FO......MM is the MUST to GO!!!!

Until MM is relieved of his duties as OC it is irrelevant what player's are on the Offence. You have to have game plans that change week to week, new plays that aren't on film, know what plays to run against deference's it's a chess game, know how to maximize's your player's strength's with in the play calling, you need a power run game, to control the clock with a lead, set up play action pass, score in the red zone as well, not just be pass happy or run happy, and run same plays week after week.....you need a balanced attack, you need to out smart the DC on the other side of the ball with your play designs and play calling.......sad, sad, MM was 5-27 2 years as a HC and people wonder why 23 points scored is the highest this season with 15 rookies starting so far. They have shook up the Defense, like the recent LB change, but the Team needs to Score to Win, pretty basic common sense stuff.......MM way just doesn't work......

Yes who was responsible for the last draft class? Not all of Howie's moves are gonna work, yet we have a MLB, and as player's have gone down he has went out and found bodies, just be fair losing 4 of your 5 starting O-linemen is hard to over come, then add QB, RB, WR, TE....I give the player's and position coaches and AR a lot of credit and this last draft class.......................................OC is what needs to be changed............................

I think Howie and the FO talked with and tried to get deals with the 2 safeties that went to the Jets, both would have been high dollar contracts, I think Howie and FO re-thinking big contracts in the future....

Don't do that.  You KNOW it's going to happen.   Accept it.  Look at its as a time to get some of your life back.  You won't be compelled to watch the Eagles on Sunday, and you can always start really paying attention again when Howie inevitably craps the bed and gets replaced.

Until then, you can always come back and bad mouth the mouth droolers here who seem to think bringing Andy back is a good thing.

It's just shocking to review how hideous the personnel movement/changes have been since Howie took over as GM...from the draft to FA, it's just an insult to bring him back next year.

The OP doesn't even know what decisions Howie Roseman has made and yet is so filled with hate for the man that he will quit as a fan over him.  He doesn't know if the moves on this team were Howie's or if they were overridden by Reid. What he does know as we all do, is that Reid has the final say on all the decisions involving this team and that  Lurie, is the only person who really knows what his role is or was. The OP is a hateful scumbag in need of someone to hate. I wish he'd just 'quit' now but I'll bet he's also a liar.

Everyone that says they're gonna quit fandom if (insert name) isnt fired, should stop watching the Eagles regardless. Bunch of softies need to learn how to seperate enjoyment of a game from real life. We don't want you anyways. You aren't making a heroic stand against injustice, you just need to be on medication.  The same goes to all the whiners who buy tickets/season tickets... you dont like it? sell me your tickets/season license. That would be really great. The wait for seasons aint happening in my lifetime anyways...

Just because you buy tickets doesnt give you a right to babble nonsensical garbage. Hindsight is 20/20 and all of you throwing in the towel suck equally.

AR has learned his lesson. He has changed. NExt year will be different. He will focus on the draft and get another strong class of rookies here. Add maybe one, 2 at most key FA and surrond himself with good coaches. We get all our O-line back off of IR and he will run a much more balanced offense. I hope AR is back next year will be different
