Again it's not about the contract. It's about the guaranteed money. The contract is just a piece of paper. That signing bonus goes right to his pocket.

There is going to be at least one team/coach willing to try the "Mike Vick Experience." I'm sure that coach will find himself on the chopping block soon after.

Why would any Eagles fan WANT Vick here???
Anybody who wants Vick as their QB clearly does not want to win a SB...

I doubt the Eagles do want him back. His latest injury along with Nick Foles steadily improving sealed Vick's fate of having no future in Philly. I am just pointing out how silly the idea of Vick coming back for less money truly is. The guy was getting killed behind our offensive line. Of course much of that was self inflicted but still. Only a fool would choose to come back to Philly for less money. Then again we are talking about Vick....

First Vick isn't a franchise quarterback, but that is the key isn't it? If all the apologist think so highly of Vick, why in the world do they think he would stoop so low?

But RPR, makes a good point. If no other team is interested in his services as a starter, than being a back up
is at least guaranteeing him an income every week. A half a loaf is better than none.
As for the OP saying the owner hates him. I don't get that at all. Lurie has praised Vick for being a model citizen, during his time here.
However I believe with the amount of games he has not been able to play( in the time here) will have a great impact on his decision regarding Mike. You can't depend on a guy who has played just one full season in a 10 yr span, on his resume, to be your starter and get you to the big game and win it. Nor can you depend on your back up ( especially if he is a rookie like Foles) to play well enough to get your wins and to the post season.

I truly believe they were looking for a reason to pull Vick without actually having to bench him and the injury provided a perfect opportunity. I think Vick will always have a loyalty to the Eagles organization for being the team to take that chance on him when he first got out of prison but I think at this point he wants to play and going forward he's not gonna have that chance here.

Sure Mike has been a "model citizen" since he's been here, but I haven't forgotten the press conference when Vick first came and how Lurie admitted that he wasn't even remotely fond of the idea of bringing in Vick. Mike's true supporter has been Reid and with Reid likely to be out the door I see no way the Eagles want him back let alone offer him a restructured deal.

I agree. Regardless of what people think of Vick. He's a competitor and is going to want to play. He's not going to want to be a back up or compete for a job he feels he rightfully should have.

many here are still arguing he is a franchise QB..... I think that notion dies at end of 2010 season, when he was exposed by not being able to read pre snap blitz reads, and make proper adjustments.
AR and MM must have been pulling their hair out as they trie dto tecah him each offseason how to do this.
Foles comes in and is doing this straight from college.....

Also, although I believe that Marcus Vick is an idiot, I definitely think that he parroted something he heard Mike say in his Tweets.
