Great product endorsement.  The leader in shortarms, critical fumbles, diving before he's hit and getting hurt on any type of contact whatsoever including a touchdown celebration.

He reminds me of the old James Brown bit, where Brown fakes pain and exhaustion, falls to his knees, and his band members put a cape over his shoulders and help him limp off the stage. I think of that every time I see Burkholder rushing to help the injured Maclin.

I can't stand Maclin. He's what's wrong with this team- soft and no heart.

His effort in making a tackle on the Hall Int was pathetic and AR doesn't care. He basically jogged after Hall and then ran out of bounds. I would have benched him for that lack of effort.

this is a large problem with the roster...he's a tenured vet and he's still holding the ball out to get stripped.

This is why we can't have a Chip Kelley come in...we need a tenured respected nfl veteran to basically lay down the law.

This is also why I don't want Namdi gone, he does things the right way...he will be a pro...someone like maclin is PRIME "cut to make an example" despite his talent.

What does Chip Kelly have to do with it? You think only an NFL coach could correct this?

It doesn't matter who the coach is, the question is what is he going to tolerate? Clearly Andy hasn't ever held guys accountable for this.

a guy like him without any nfl experience isn't going to command respect.  This team has quite a few "bad apples", we cannot cut the entire roster.

I get what your saying but I couldn't disagree more. Whoever the new coach is has to earn the players respect by not tolerating dope play and holding players accountable for their play.

wouldnt exactly use him as a shining example of success.  He got a lot of league flack for the " play to the whistle crap".  His own players were pointing the finger at him for that...

I dont know how Chip Kelly is as a coach. Is he animated? Is he fiery? Does he get in players a**es (no sandusky) and hold them accountable?

I like Brian Kelly of the fightin Irish. Dude seems like a real dhick and I mean that in a good way.

Id be a a dhick headed coach for sure.

$2k fine every time a WR drops a catchable ball
$1k fine for every missed tackle
$500 for every OL blown assignment

Im sure thats way illegal, but thats what I WANT to do lol

Every player wants that $$$, so if you take some of it away maybe that will get their heads out of their a**es.

Does anyone remember the '11 San Francisco game and Maclin Ultra's critical fumble?
This is nothing new; here he is caught from behind by a lineman.  If he holds on to the ball the Eagles likely beat SF and maybe 2011 is a very different season.  I'm sick of this guy ruining seasons with all of his dives, fumbles, short-arms and faked injuries.

It is not just Maclin losing the football a critical moments, we have others as well. This team is guilty of 35 fumbles this year.

Maclin needs to be replaced, heck replace him with Bowe and keep Cooper at #4. I have seen enough of Maclin's mistakes, injuries and penalties.

Maclin was obviously hurt last night. When he caught the ball early and really should have ran to the wide side of the field for an easy TD he just turned and ran at the defenders - in an obvious attempt not to force a sprint situation. I know it sounds odd but it's very common for those with groin or hamstring injuries to avoid straight line sprints.

I can see the next coach upgrading our receivers with more physical bigger ones. It wouldn't surprise me to see Maclin traded, and Jackson moved to the slot as a 3, and cover punts. This entire team is to little, and gimmick-ish.

I'm not so sure about that entirely. Jackson will be a wideout because of the way he can stretch the field. I can see Maclin getting traded in lieu of a stronger/taller reciever though. The best WR tandems are generally a red zone target and a speedy deep ball guy (see Giants Nicks/Cruz).

To think Jackson would be a #3 slot reciever seems a bit silly to me though. Perhaps that's just my opinion though.

I think Maclin is a good (not great) WR with above average talent. Unfortunately, he's not really big (or physical), and doesn't have elite speed, ala DJax. Essentially he's a #2 WR playing with another small, non-physical #1 WR in Jackson.

I could easily see a new HC drafting a bigger-bodied WR (with decent speed, unlike McNutt) in the 2nd or 3rd round in next years' draft.
