Could it be that the participation awards and "no score" little league games are taking their toll on players of today?

Because the players know the talent this team has......but the coaching staff can't utilize it properly. They need to STFU about it, but players know......

I disagree......this team has a lot of talent.......but the coaching coaching changes, system changes, injuries, idiotic playcalling, lack of accountability and lack of discipline can make any group of talented players seem bad. This team has a coaching issue, not a talent issue.

They lost focus, they played undisciplined football, and at the end of the day they all wonder how such a "talented team" could fall to 4-10.

If they were disillusioned, then they'd see through the illusion that they're good and realize they actually suck.

They actually believe this.
I have witnessed players like these go to other teams and do very well. it seems like they don't give a damn about giving thier all for the Eagles. There must be some things going on that the fans don't know about.

This. I feel that they ARE better than their record. Is it that they don't give a damn? Maybe. They make a lot of mental and fundamental mistakes. Not making tackles. Blowing coverages (less in the last 2 games). Letting the QB evade pressure and make big plays without fear of punishment. That can all be fixed, and we all do hope it is next season.
There's talent on this team, I just think they're lost right now. Lost and inconsistent. They have a lot to work on come the offseason. I also partially agree with NorCalEagle. Vick WAS better than he's performed. I say was because he just hit a wall. A wall in the form if getting hit nearly every time he dropped back to pass. Has he ever been an elite QB? Not in my eyes. Was he, at one point, better than he is right now? Yes.
Flame away. I know it's gonna happen given the sheer number of pessimistic fans on here.

If this team was totally healthy all season, (Peters, Kelce, Herremans, Vick, McCoy, Jackson, Celek) they would at least be in contention right now - this stretch of schedule has been very easy and we are only 1-5 (all against teams who would not qualify for the playoffs heading into this week - Dallas twice, Wash, TB, Cin, and Carolina). That is when players started dropping like flys (Herremans vs NO, Vick vs. Dal, McCoy vs Skins, DJax vs Carolina).
Granted a lot of people are playing below their talent level and the fumbling thing is just ridiculous at this point - we gotta get that fixed right now - the whole team!
That being said, the players need to stop saying it to the media.

It has to come from the head coach. Do you think that Herman Edwards would let them say something that stupid? Do you think that he would allow them to think like that? I really believe that it's Andy's approach to coaching. He's telling them that they are "better than this" in the hopes that it will motivate them and they will play better, but instead it's causing them to be complacent. It isn't working. These players need to be told that they suck, and if they don't like being told that they suck, then prove it on the field on gameday. Challenge their manhood and call them out.
Simply telling them that they "have to do a better job" just isn't cutting it anymore.
