There was some good things you can take from last nights game. Colt Anderson played well again, Cox, Graham, and the whole dline in general. The poor offensive line kept a good Cincy pass rush at bay. (they just couldnt open up and running lanes for BB)
Oh and the biggest thing we didnt screw up our draft pick status....

I think Mark Schlereth said it best last night:
"There is a difference between playing professional football and being a professional football player."
This is a supremely gifted football team that simply has no focus, no discipline, and no will to win at any cost.

Eh, I've seen way more "fire" out of the team the last two weeks than I had for the majority of the season before that. Even Nnamdi and DRC seem to be giving maximum effort now, whereas several weeks ago they were noticeably just going through the motions. Like you said, the fumbles are the result of a lack of focus.
I would agree, although probably for different reasons. I feel like the only reason the players are giving the extra effort now that the season doesn't matter is merely shame, and anxiety that they are all replaceable going forward. As you said, though, it is nice to see the CB tandem stepping it up after going through the motions all season long.

Which is why I am ALWAYS against bringing in free agents.
The history of high priced free agents performing well with their new team is not good. Not good at all. Actually it's pretty bad.
These friggen players get handed all that money and they lose their focus.
Man, just look at the Eagles and their BIG free agents they have signed over the years. You literally have Runyan and Asante as the only 2 that were really worth it. The rest didn't change a friggen thing. And it's like that with EVERY team.
With that said, I am thrilled with how most of these young kids are playing. The veteran free agents ???
They can all leave and don't bring anymore in.
