I will be the first to say that Washburn and his gimmick system were awful and needed to go. Babin is a one trick pony that also needed to be removed so true football players could see the field.
That being said, it's hard to imagine the defensive line becoming this much better overnight as it has. The question I pose is this: How much of the D-Line success is a result on opposing coaches not having any tape on defensive line play other than the sell-out wide 9 scheme fronting a defense that can't utilize it properly?
I believe that this line is immensely talented, and can generate pressure on the QB, but will the play level out as offensive coordinators have a better idea how all the moving parts on this defense work after the change at position coach?

maybe yes, maybe not. We'd have to see. I think this line has potential but even last night I wouldn't say they were great.I think how they perform in the next two games vs division rivals is going to tell us a lot about their potential to work as a unit with success.

We are loaded with talent...it should never have been as bad as it was. There was certainly a toxic lockeroom situation. Washburn is a horrible professional.
IMO I would have fired him the second he pulled the Juanita stuff.
Also, what graham was doing last night is pretty scheme independent...if your opponent cannot handle you one on one it's going to be a long day.

This doesn't even look like the same team. It's strange that all of a sudden it appears that they know what they are doing. They are not lights out, but they have improved.
