I'd agree about being (slightly) overrated, and combined with a down year this season makes it look worse, but Cole is still good. He should be able to retain a starting job next year.

Cole is just so amazing that the idea that fans might be overrating him is SO outlandish that I know nothing about football.

He's a good but not great pass rusher, yet fans act (or at least did until this season) like he is a top 3 DE in the NFL. In reality he is nowhere close to top 5 let alone top 3.

Prior to this year, please enlighten us with the top 5 DEs in the NFL over each of the last 5-6 seasons.
