I see nothing wrong with this.  Brown hasn't played in 3 years and Rau just got activated.  They did make rookie mistakes.  Not that Jeremy Maclin, Brent Celek, and King Dunlap haven't made those same rookie mistakes.

this isn't really a case of Reid throwing people under the bus the way McNabb did, though the media will try and make it sound like that. If we know Reid, he really did give two words answers like "rookie mistake" when asked about the miscues.

Seriously? How is that Reid blaming rookies for the Eagles' "losing ways" (whatever that means)?

He was asked why Rau forgot to go on the field. Answer: "Rookie mistake," not "that stupid rookie ruined the game for us." Asked about Brown's fumbles, Reid said it is an issue that Brown can only work through by playing instead of going on a diatribe about him letting down the team.

Reid's resume over the last few years is enough to get him fired without blaming him for inane crap like this.

So Reid says that the some of the rookies that are making mistakes have made some rookie mistakes, and now people think that Reid is blaming the rookies for the losing way.  Got to love the horrible logic that some people have.

People would give Reid greif for protecting his players.  Now he's holding a few guys accountable, and actually being straight up, and they want to get upset about that.

And this is why Reid says things like "That's my fault" and "I need to do a better job" over and over again  Hold anyone else accountable for even just one play and all of a sudden he's blaming that player for a horrible season.  

Garbage like this makes me think Andy knows what he's doing.

When it comes to press conferences, he absolutely does ... I get that they're not very interesting or informative for the fans; however, I cannot believe he is the same person behind closed doors.  One of the reasons his players, at least at one time, loved him was because he shouldered all the blame publicly.  I'm sure he rips them in the locker room, though.

I'm sitting here today watching rookies make plays all day long.  Kirk Cousins and Alfred Morris are possibly leading the Redskins to a huge win with RG3 out... possibly 1st place in the division.

The Colts are full of rookies - Luck, Vick Ballard, T.Y. Hilton, Dwayne Allen and Coby Fleener all contributing to a playoff run.  PS - with AQ Shipley and Mike McGlynn on the O-line LOL.

The veterans are making as many or more mistakes than the rookies on this Eagles team.  Time to start making some tough decisions.

McNabb didn't throw anybody under the bus. That's just the way tate felt like taking it. Youth WAS to blame when McNabb said it. Youth is to blame now that Andy says it. Same thing to me.

Whats the point of this post?  Thats what happens when a team has so many rookies starting.  Especially in skilled positions.
