but you can trade high draft picks for more.
Really? Golly gee, I didn't know that! The draft is a gamble and it's better for team morale to win every possible game. Do you see the top teams worrying about draft position? Any player could have a career ending injury in any game. It's all about the W in every game, no matter what.

the top teams aren't worried about draft position because they are contending for a superbowl. I'm sure the players want to win every game regardless of their playoff chance. But the way the eagles are playing they may as well just play for the highest pick. This team just needs to be rebuilt.

Yeah, I hear you. But Cards aren't in the same position as the Eagles. We just need a few key pieces and we will he playoff bound. Our D played in beast mode today for the win, just like in our win over the Eagles. It's just my personal preference to always root for the win, why else be a fan? Cheering for a loss to bost draft position is like saying "I'll marry you when you lose 100 lbs." Not the kind of fan I want to be.

You need a qb. And the draft class this year doesnt look so good. Maybe they'll trade for Smith?

That would be a great move but we don't have anyone valuable enough that we can afford to let go of and after tonight's game what does SF really need? Feely, anyone? :-p
