Just saw something rolling across the ESPN "bottom line" regarding the Eagles players and steroids. As soon as i saw those words i had to look it up. Make of it what you will.

Yeah this popped up a while ago as a rumor.  It explains the down year if the NFL is watching more closely.

That's what they're hoping everyone will run with.

Even though there's absolutely no evidence whatsoever. It would be more plausible that he was using them himself or selling to college kids.

Cedric Thornton is the only person I could think of that might have taken roids.  Everyone else is small and soft, besides Bryce Brown lol.

Jason Babin had 18 sacks last year.  He had 2.5 this year before they released him.

So Babin gave them to Garrett?  He did have 12.5 sacks the year prior in Tennessee, and only 2.5 the year before that in Philadelphia.

I was thinking more along the lines of Garret giving them to Babin.  Obviously, Garret had a way of getting his hands on controlled substances. 18 sacks to 2.5 sacks is one hell of a drop off.  I'm not making accusations,  but the facts would seem to support that line of thinking.

So how did Babin go from 2.5 to 12.5?  A drop in production happens with age, also combine that with the poor season the Eagles were having with Babin and eventually his reduced playing time, it's not too far of a stretch to see why it fell so hard.

I get it, both ideas are ridiculous.  That was the point of my original post in here that Babin provided Garrett with the steroids.

Well,  regardless of how ridiculous our conjecture is,   Garrett was found with steroids in his room.  Enough to suggest that he had the intent to distribute, and Garrett was working with the team's strength and conditioning coach during the time of his death.  It definitely sounds suspect to me.

Just as one could suspect that Babin was the one who brought in the steroids to Garrett.  Both ideas would make great conspiracy theories.

My last post was all facts:

Garrett was found with steroids in his room.
He had enough to suggest that he had the intent to distribute.
Garrett was working with the team's strength and conditioning coach during the time of his death.

Without any further conspiracy conjecture,  the situation looks very suspicious.

This team was first in the league last year in sacks with 50.  This season through 14 games,  they only have 28.  They went 5 weeks without a sack.

I'm not suggesting Garrett started a drug ring and corrupted the team.  I'm suggesting it's not good when someone working for the strength and conditioning staff is found with steroids and it may speak to an organizational culture he participated in.  At the very least, it's noteworthy and worthy of investigation/scrutiny.
