im being real , no big name FA . no crazy draft trades. No load up on new players . thats what went wrong 2 years ago and what the redskins problem has been up until the last few years.
Step 1 Fire Andy . Hire Bruce Arians as HC. He's a great offensive mind . Lurie loves offense . Players really respect this guy, even ones with dysfunctional personalties like Roesthlisberger .
Step 2 Re-sign FS Colt Anderson , LS Jon Dorenbos, DT Derek Landri, OG Jake Scott, OLB Akeem Jordan. OLB Ryan Rau, CB Brandon Hughes , Dont resign OT King Dunlap , CB DRC , DE Darryl Tapp ,WR Greg Salas G Nate Mankin T Matt Kopa, Release OT Demetress Bell , TE Clay Harbor. RB Dion Lewis , S David Sims, QB Micheal Vick , WR Marvin McNutt OT Matt Tennant, FB Emil Igwenagu , DT Mike Patterson , LB Casey Matthews , S Nate Allen
Step 3 Trade a 4th rd pick to SF for Alex Smith. Get a stable veteran QB to stop gap for a year or two till Foles is ready
Step 4 Sign Leonard Pope TE Pit , Mike Cox FB Atl David Reed KR Bal ,Kraig Urbik OT Buf -We need to get better at FB ,back up OT ,blocking TE and im tired of pinning all the return game hopes on a late round rookle.
Step 5 Draft !!

Now that that's out of the way, I like the realistic approach. I don't see why you're cutting all these players before training camp though, cutting veterans like Vick and Bell make sense, but not guys like Casey Matthews and Clay Harbor. You make those cuts AFTER training camp. As far as re-signing and not, I see all the ones you stated likely to come back except for Jake Scott as he is a veteran who was used to Howard Mudd's scheme, the Eagles should be able to find a free agent or rookie to replace Todd at RT so he can move inside to RG. Rau and Hughes haven't done much so don't jump the gun on re-signing them. I think DRC stays though as he has more potential than Nnamdi and with some good coaching and a quality corner opposite of him (like Milliner), he should improve. I'd say re-sign him to a 2-3 year deal to make sure he can improve and then go long-term. Nnamdi should be one of the veterans cut as he just isn't what he once was. If he takes a paycut and the Eagles are looking for a guy like Joeckel in the draft then MAYBE he stays. Grooming Foles behind Smith is an alright idea, but I'd rather develop the guy with some real playing time. I'd rather throw the season out on a limb with Foles and see what happens. If he performs well, we should be competitive in the next couple years, but if he can't play we get our guy in the 2013 draft. Your draft look solid, although I'd rather not have Jake Scott starting at right guard so we should try to find a tackle in the draft or FA.
