You can stop making up excuses for why running QBs tend to get injured more now.

Any qb can get injured, obviously. The RGIII type of player tends to get injured more often. All i'm saying. Also, this type of player also plays streaky and inconsistently.
It's just my opinion bud, just like you have yours, RG3 may go on to win a few super bowls in his career. Just saying history says it's extremely the opposite.
Dual threat qbs seem to keep it in their mind that they don't absolutely have to try and make the right pass when they can just run, which keeps them from improving. Instead, they try to prolong too many plays and end up just getting hurt and costing their team. In a few years, the Skins will throw 100+ million at RGIII just in time for injuries to start slowing him down. By the time he'll start to try and change the way he plays to stay healthy, it'll be too late. It's a vicious cycle. By then, you'll already have the 100 Mil eating your cap, playing with a backup qb.
Even worse in the Skins situation as they've dumped all these picks that it'll be hard to surround RGIII with much.

What about matthew stafford, jay cutler, big ben....qbs that have been injured alot while in the pocket? You seem not to realize that.........cam newton play the same style as rg3 but he has never been injured...how come you don't bring that up? Enough with your stereotype dude....any qbs can be injured anytime anywhere.....just last year matt schaub was injured in a game that basically ended houston's year. Stop being simple minded...stop looking into a narrow lense .....what happened to RG3 was a freak accident that can happen to any qb....he is a rookie and he will learn to run out of bounds and slide
Sigh....kickers get injured too. Its the nfl. Its almost impossible not to get injured. That's the whole point. It can't be that hard to understand. Teams don't want their qb running to get that extra yard. The more you run the more extra unnecessary hits you'll take. The more "freak accidents" you'll risk. The more missed games you'll get.

You are a delusional clown who thinks rg3 will be the next vick....enough already.....how many times will i say this...they are different people.....you haven't watch any rg3's game this season so you only saw that he ran and got injured on a freak play....get over yourself....enough stereotype.....watch rg3 this sunday....u will know what i am talking about

Hell the closest player to kaepernick (style wise not skill) is ponder of the vikings who people don't realize is Fing fast. Thing is he's terrible so no one talks about him

Russell wilson is basically a smaller version of RG3....the only reason i lumped him with rg3 and kaepernick is because of the read option...which all 3 qbs run effectively

Wilson is actually not like rg3 at all. Ran completely different offenses in college, wilson has much less limitations as to what kind of offense he can run. He knows the terminology for prostyle and west coast spread, unlike rg3 who made almost no presnap reads for himself in college

I'm tired of watching it. Thanking god it's finally over in this town. It happened to Cunningham, it happened to McNabb, it happened to Vick and RGIII has already missed a game in his first year because of his style. They are different players yes, but they're of the same mold or at least a cousin mold.

Last year at Wisconsin he had 3 passes tipped.
Tannehill had 15 (despite being 6'3"), RGIII had 8, Weeden had 7, and Luck had 2. Height is a lazy, lazy argument

Why will it hinder him down the road? He's playing just as well if not better than the quaterbacks taken before him. So far he has overcome everything thrown at him including the height issue. Wilson is 5'11". He is also a proven leader and pretty mature for his age so that too helps him overcome any obsticle. He has been told he was too small his entire life. I'd love to have Wilson as the longterm Eagles QB. i like RGIII alot but the reckless style he has is only going to make his career shorter.

Len Dawson (HOF, won 1 Super Bowl)
Michael Vick

Sonny Jerguson (HOF)
Pat Haden

You better have a good backup qb and an excellent defense. And just like the wildcat took a little while to be vanquished, so will this college style offense.

I dont think it would be a susprise or a strech to say the 49ers will make it to the SB this year.

He still needs to make the throws and make the right decisions. You gotta give him credit IMO. Kirk came into the game against Baltimore and threw the game tying TD and 2pt conversion and lead them to the GW FG in OT. Then he comes out and beats the all the sudden hot Cleveland Browns @ Cleveland
