I don't follow a ton of college ball anymore but i think our oline could use a stud RT to compliment peters on the left. Herramans is an ok right tackle but is an elite G and it would really benefit us,foles, and the running game if we put him back in his natural position next year. Does anyone know who some of the good RT prospects are coming out of the draft this year?

Luke Joeckel - been playing LT for Texas A&M since his freshmen year.  He'd be my 1st choice in rd 1.  There's a thread on him in the IWTETG forum with some good info.

Yup, but Teo would be sweet. Id rather a corner in round 1, and RT in round 2. But then again, we need safety help. I wonder if there will be any decent safeties available in FA this year.

I really want us to get a S in the 1st round but if we keep the position we are in now there is no one worth a pick that high at S.  So I would think we either go with the next biggest need, go for the best player available, or trade down and pick up another pick or two.  Who knows maybe we can find a sucker of a team that will give us 3 first round picks like the Redskins did last year.

Trade back with St. Louis and draft Xavier Rhodes and Matt Elam at 16 and 19

Believe it or not I had a weird dream the other night where Mike Zimmer was our new head coach and the Eagles selected Teo in the first round.

This team has too many needs.  You pick an absolute stud who is an athletic prototype with the potential to dominate.  LT/RT/CB/DE/WR/QB....doesn't matter.  Filling a hole with a merely solid S/OL wouldn't do nearly as much for the team as adding an all-pro at ANY position would.  That's what we need.

It looks like the Eagles will pick between 3-9 in the first round,  which means you need to pick a player who has a longer than normal  4 year NFL career life.  With that in mind the biggest need is offensive line which blends well with a longer NFL life,  So OT is the way to go,  Luke Joeckel Texas AM LT 6-5,  305.  5.15 will probably be a top 5 pick and Jake Mathews (son of  former All pro) is Texas AM RT 6-5, 305, 5.15 will be a top 10 pick.  Both satisfy a glaring need and have faced top competition(Can you say Jacquan Jarrett) and should be in the mix unless we trade down. Most teams in the top 10 hunt are looking defense which is loaded in this draft so chances are one or both will be available depending on where we pick.

Exactly.  Take the BPA regardless of position until the late rounds when you can draft for need.  We need guys who can make plays and will play hard all the time.  I hope the next coach puts everyone on notice that if you don't ball, you're gone.

Doubt they all get to FA, but these are the top 3 currently scheduled to be FAs:

William Moore (ATL)
Jairus Byrd (BUF)
Dashon Goldson (SF)

Definitely agree with this.  I just think Joeckel will be the highest rated prospect that fits that description when we pick (assuming he is still on the board).

I'd be happy with any of the top picks between Joeckel, Star, Te'o. Milliner if we trade back a little. Joeckel or Star are my top two choices, as it all starts in the trenches and ours have been awful this year.

Is DT really that much of a need though? If the players are graded similarly you have to go Joeckel all the way.

Jenkins is getting older and Patterson is on IR again isn't he? It also depends on who takes who in front of us. If Joeckel is there, that's my first choice.

You have to go joeckel we need oline help and if we can out score teams which starts by giving the qb and RB time to develop plays then he is our man!!
