I am sick of hearing about how it's a forgone conclusion that Vick is gone.  I really don't care how much he will make next year he needs to be on the Eagles roster.  Eagles fans there is no better QB option as of today for next season.  It sounds like many of you are really not fans and just hate Vick.  He has been made the scapegoat for bad coaching and personel again.  How about a #1 WR and a real gameplan before we put all the eggs in a 3rd round rookie QB basket.  I hope Foles is the next Tom Brady but we have not seen anything close to that in most of his starts.  I just don't want to believe my fellow Eagles fans are that nieve to what's really wrong with this team.  The only thing you can evaluate with this years team is effort and heart.  Who showed more than Vick on this team?  Vick is a Philly guy with his toughness.  STOP HATING!!!

So.. you think some people aren't eagles fans because they want a guy, who has started for 3 seasons and failed, gone. Yet your screen name is "VICKtoryismine"?

Sounds like you're the non-eagles fan.

And the fact that he is a third rd pick and a rookie is meaningless. Russell Wilson is too. And at one point, tom Brady was a 5th rd rookie. So what?

What has Vick done since Dec. 2010 to make you believe he is the answer? Was it the fumbling us out of games or failing to do anything in/make the playoffs? Just curious..

I honestly believe that Foles has played better than Vick in his starts this season (while missing his 1st string skill position players and having not been prepared in the offseason to start.)  

The Vick-led offense was 2nd to last in scoring and near the top in turnovers.  Now, I certainly need to see more from Foles to determine if he's "the guy" ... because neither QB has been running up the scoreboard ... but I have seen enough of Vick to know that he is not the answer.  I like Vick personally much more than I did before; he seems to have turned his life around and is a good teammate, but I expect better play from my QB.

An elite QB raises the level of play of everyone around him ... Vick isn't that guy (Foles may not be either, but I'd like to find out.)

I, for one, can't wait until Vick is gone. We inherited a bunch of Vick fans that were on Atlanta's bandwagon only because Vick was the QB.  When Vick leaves those fans will leave.  Vick had one really good year as a passer in 2010 and the rest of his seasons were marked by his athleticism running the ball and RBs (Dunn and Duckett) who also carried the load.

How much in fact you DO know about football is my bigger concern. Vick has heart and he plays hard, but that does = wins or success.

He is average at best, especially since he lost a step....

You know, the turnover record and how he holds the record for not playing a full season in how long....etc, etc, etc......

No genius.  The problem with the Eagles is you had Vick and McCoy in the same backfield and AR did'nt realize this is a running team now.  Yall really don't know talent and how to best use it.  This same team is in the playoffs this year with SF or Seattle coach.

Vick being here gives us the best chance to win next season. Vick is clearly not the QB of the future, but it's not clear that Foles is the QB of the future. Keeping Vick would indicate that the FO has the right mindset and that mind is that Foles isn't necessarily the guy. It would set this franchise back years if we pass up opportunities to draft a franchise QB because we're trying to see what we have in Foles. Foles was not Luck or RG3. There's nothing about him that says that there's good chance that he'll turn into a franchise QB, so we shouldn't put all of our eggs in Foles basket regardless of whether Vick is here next year or not.

So, you keep a QB who can't read coverages and can't count blitzers on the line of scrimmage only to hand the ball off?  That makes sense.

Any QB who turns the ball over as much as Vick does gives a team the best chance to lose. That is what we have seen over the past couple of years. Seriously, what does it take to get through to you guys?  Turnovers = losses.

He hasnt done ish in 3 years here, outside of playing good for 1/3rd of 1 season.

So your saying Vick has had his 3 years at success and nothing, so now we should keep him around to throw back in as the starting QB IF Foles falls through? Thats idiotic and a statement of a TRUE fan of Mike Vick. Wow... just wow..

Vick had a #1 wr in atl and failed to utilize roddy white so that argument is automatically out the door.

Vick has plenty heart but very little brains.

That was the same offense that Atl. ran both years we shut them down in the play-offs. That's because it's easy to shut down a one dimensional offense. When forced to throw, any team w/Vick at qb loses.

It really is that simple. Hell, we did it twice against him in his prime, and he was on a better, more balanced team than we have now.

He used to be a great runner, but that's gone now too.
