I'm liking what I see in the kid.  If we were not depleted at the O line I think we could compete with this guy, Tampa and Today sold me.
I have that and the draft next season to look forward to

its an offense of almost all 2nd stringers, smart people should be concerned about the defense not the offense, i think they will be fine

100 percent agree. the defense is miserable with almost the entire team healthy. our safeties are atrocious. corners are mediocre, the defensive line looks ok since the firing of washburn but the linebackers besides kendrick and demeco suck

yea the secondary is going to be the downfall of the team, the Dline looks promising though, linebackers not great but probably good enough, oline health plus secondary improvement are the big things next year

i think jarius byrd is a free agent. he is a really good safety. i have a feeling he gets franchised though.

Give Foles anything resembling a pocket and he will be fine, ignite a running game.
The defense today didn't cough the game.. it was Foles running for his life that did.

The kid is young and played well and has/will improve, and yeah we can definetly upgrade our defense, but we need to cement the O line
We need to ditch the wide 9 and improve corners

It was the turnovers this season, the lack of them by our defense and the number committed on offense
We have set a record and cannot be worse next season~~
And one area that there should be no excuse for, the special teams.. F Bobby April and the games he cost the fans.
There hasn't been anything.. nada.. nothing to show from that 1/3 of the game

I see a HUGE part of the team's problems being the coaching and motivation, there is simply no excuse for the special teams and the fumbles.
I can rationalize 4 starters out on the line, the issues we had with center, tight ends being out.. yeah tough to win a game without an O line
But no damn excuse for the special teams and really though I haven't been vocal Brown needs to be coached to hold the ball, next season that guy goes into fumble factory mode and the fans are going to be PISSED, this season doesn't matter, but coaching needs to address that...

I'm seeing progress with Foles but Brown needs work

i agree. brown is more of a luxury since we have mccoy. we really need foles to pan out to be good. cause in this division with eli, romo and griffin we could be in the cellar for a while unless he turns out to be good.

In 2 weeks you can go root for a new team when Vick is cut. They are aren't going to give him a pay raise to stay here.

I definitely feel Foles allows us to select BPA in the upcoming draft. Whomever the HC is doesn't HAVE to draft a QB.

If we resign DRC, and restructure Aso then we can either draft a Tackle or trade back and grab the best safety. If either one of the corners leave (hopefully not both) we can go Tackle, corner or trade back and go corner or safety. It sounds like there is a few tackles worthy of a 1st round grade as well as 2-3 corners and 1 safety.

Best case scenario in my mind:

Keep DRC and Aso
Sign a top safety
Draft Tackle with first pick
Trade back up to snag best safety
Spend rest of draft picking up OL, secondary and ST depth.

i'm sure it will to, Vick is gonna take a, pay cut, pending on who the next coach is thats coming in, all the vick haters are so sure that vick is gone, they are about to get a rude reality check!! Especially if chip comes here, he already let it be known that he likes vick.

It's strange, that all of  SUDDEN YOU SEE THAT.  Wow.   it's funny that it has taken the Starting of Foles to see that.  Are wide receivers running open all damn day,  does Foles Hold the ball too long,  is he not reading defenses and getting the ball out quicker because of it.  Wow, this is amazing.  What could be the real problem now?  You even mentioned defense and specials teams as an issue.   I thought starting Foles would fix all of this.  :meh:

NO NFL QB would be much better than Foles with this line.  With all the starters back on the line... the play action works, the RB's we have are much better and the QB both has time to throw and the throwing lanes open.

I look forward to seeing Foles fight for the starting job next year.

I think the offense will be competitive when healthy and maybe a bit of change on the line. The defense on the other hand...

foles is the starter next year, there is no one to fight with, unless they sign flacco which is not happening

I like him. At this point in the season with the injuries and stupid play calling all you can ask from him is week to week improvement which I think he's shown.

Foles should be able to help us where we have sucked for 10 years now. Red zone Offense. I like Vick but Vick doesn't work with midget WR's and unimaginative play calling. It kills us in the Red Zone. Vicks height limits the play calling in the red zone and MM is already limited mentally. With Foles being 6-6 and poised in the pocket (you can't deny he moves like Brady in the pocket), the red zone O has a better chance of gettting more TD's and less TO's.

he has the arm for the deep ball he needs to work on his mechanics. coming out scouts said he had the arm strength. wasnt a cannon like favre but it is was very good. he needs to work on his feetwork. the reason why he throws ducks sometimes is because he doesn't drive and tries throwing it flat footed. it is correctable. if he does that this offseason we could see hims trive next year behind a good oline with peters, kelce and herremans coming back plus i think we might go after the Tackle from Texas AM who is pretty good.

just saying the odds say thats going to happen either way. i dont see geno smith being rg3 next year moreover, foles gives us our best shot next year.

Vick is a 10 year veteran with no upside.  He is not the future.  I believe that Foles will have a nice future with the Eagles.  He very well could be a franchise-type qb.  I believe that he will continue to improve with experience and an improved o-line in front of him.

I honestly didn't think Foles would be worth a damn, but the way he has played this season has definitely changed my mind. The fact that as a rookie he has played better than Vick behind that offensive line is promising. I just figured that if Vick was getting pummeled that bad behind the patchwork line, Foles had no chance.

I like Vick, a lot, but he has not been the player we saw two seasons ago. I just don't see the front office paying Vick next year, especially with the way Foles has played.

Agreed.  And for those who think this is a bad time, sorry, you need to look at the Eagles of the late '60s / early 70's.
