Giants fans want a coach that has won 2 Super Bowl Rings within 4 Years gone - "Giants fans are just passionate about their team. They have high expectations LOL"

Eagles fans want a coach who hasnt won anything in over a decade gone - "Those ungrateful Philly fans. Andy Reid is a great coach. That city doesnt deserve him!"

Hit the nail straight on the head.

Complete double standard.

My only question is,  when did he decide that he didn't want to be here next year?  Was it before the season started? Was it when the team was 3-1?  Or,  was it just this week?

I think it was 4 years ago. Couldn't you tell. :mellow2:

Sure was. Hence prompting lurie to issue the "8-8 unacceptable" comment
No the unacceptable comment was made in Lurie's end of the season presser last year.  His agent made that comment after his son died.

Is there anyway Foles could play in Kellys system?
He probably could but Vick would be a better fit in chips system, he already said he likes vick and would work with him, most people now are saying they dont want chip here, it was all good til he said he likes vick now theres hate on chip, people so scared now if chip comes here he's gonna try to keep vick here, mabe so, he's a good coach and with all this youth here he would fit perfectly here, so what if he keeps vick, he probably can bring the best out of him vick still has some years in him and I want to see what chip can do with him, vick is more his style Qb not saying foles is not a Good upcoming Qb but he's not ready yet, the eagles, would of scored on that last drive if vick was at Qb!!

Chip Kelly would be an unmitigated disaster. Unlike other college coaches who have had success in the NFL, Chip Kelly has zero NFL experience of any kind.

Vermeil was an assistant coach for the Rams before he took the UCLA job.

There has never been a successful college coach in the NFL with zero NFL assistant experience in the modern era. This sounds like a Howie Roseman idea. If I had a choice between firing Andy or firing Howie, I would fire Howie. He's the source of all of these loony ideas that got Andy fired in the first place.

Roseman is going to make the Eagles one of the worst franchises in NFL history. Look forward to many future seasons with no more than 2 or 3 wins.

hmmmm it basically is very option-base in a spread formation and you need a mobile qb. moreover it is like no huddle go as fast as you can to make the other team tired and outscore them. he has never had a great defense at oregon i would say they have been mediocre during his tenure there.

my description isnt that great. i suggest watching the fiesta bowl you will see what i mean.
Thanx man, I will. So its basically a Reid style offense in the no huddle??

I think you have a point.  Something about that part of the story just doesn't add up.  If it wasn't for the fact that it came from CBS Sports website,  I would really have a hard time believing it.
Andy is a straight shooter. If he really felt that way he would have said so publicly. Andy knew from the start of the season that unless they had a "substantial improvement from last seasons record he would not be retainted". Lurie made that specifically clear. So whomever is putting that crap out there now is probably going off of Luries pre season statement. And adding his own spin to it. Andy has always said he loves the city Of Philly and loves coaching here.

I wouldn't be at all suprised if Lurie didn't say to Andy, "Andy I know I said you would have to have  a much better season than last year for me to keep you. Given the numerous injuries this team has sustained. And it appears you have the kid Foles heading in the right direction, I'm going to retain you for the final year of your contract". I can't see Andy turning that down.

Give proof (link) to an article where you claim he said that. I don't want Chip Kelly either as he has no prior nfl experience. It' be like Stev Spurrier all over again only this time with the Eagles instead of the Skins.

Jimmy Johnson.

People need to realize that if Chip Kelly is hired he will change the offense some. it's not going to be the exact same thing. BTW Kelly gushed about Foles when the Ducks played the Cats last season. So it's not a foregone conclusion that he would want Vick.

chip kelly would come in here and have the offense run one play over and over and over and over and over again untill they get to a point where they can add minor differences that equal great production. Itll be one running play that can become a passing play without the defense knowing. foles has spent alot of time in a spread at arizona. so its not like he cant run his defense. esp if the running game can dominate.

Gone from the Eagles, but very possibly not too far away from here up in The Meadowlands, very possibily as the new head coach of the Jets if they fire Rex Ryan.
