Many people around the NFL believe he's one of the best young minds in the NFL.  He's an enthusiatic, energetic kid with an NFL background who will immediately demand respect in the locker-room.  Sure, he may have flopped in Denver, but Kyle Orton was his quarterback.  Give me this guy, can Marty, give me a strong defensive coordinator, and you have a 9-10 win team next year.

No thanks. he traded away cutler to go with orton and tebow. no thanks. lets just go after a hot up and coming OC and get a experienced DC. then focus on fixing the damn secondary and oline. possibly get a big wideout.

The other guy I'd take a look at is Kyle Shannahan...although I'm not sure he'd accept a job in the same division as his father.

let's get a Defensive Head Coach for starters. Our offense is fixable but our defense is a mess.

The problem Josh McDaniels had was that he felt that he was in control and needed to be the guy making all of the decisions. In his next stop, he needs to be working under somebody. There would need to be a strong front office (kinda like what Denver has now) and that'll help keep McDaniels in line.

Exactly. He needs experienced coaches around him and true football people around him to tell him where he's possibly gonna screw up.

we someone who can develop a QB. no thanks to a defensive HC. Just get a good DC. Gotta score points in the NFL.

To me there's nothing wrong with a defensive minded coach provided he doesn't pull a Rex or Buddy Ryan and ignore the offensive side of the ball. That same principle applies to any offensive minded coach.

i want the best and brightest minds around to develop a QB. And i want that to be the most important part in looking for the next HC.

But the thing is, if you get a damn good offensive coordinator and a QB coach who can do that, would there be a problem with a defensive minded head coach? Don't get me wrong, my preference is defense because to me that's the biggest area of concern right now because it's like there's no direction and that's whats needed. I wouldn't upset in the least about them hiring an offensive minded head coach.

As it was said before, if he's not the one calling the shots, he'd be in a better position as a coach.

I'd been listening to all these people talk about the football future of the Eagles regarding their coaching staff, and as I was reading the article from Don Banks on SI.com, McDaniels may very well be a target of the Eagles. The only way this can truly happen is if the Eagles bring in another executive to run the on field product.

Rex won't be fired because Tannenbaum will be re-assigned and will be given 1 last chance. McDaniels can't be the OC here unless the Patriots fire him which they won't. And at this point I'm saying screw Chip Kelly because he wants full control at the NFL level in which he has no experience.
